but I could be wrong here but I vaguely remember Fiona dismissing the idea of it being mental health about a year or more ago? I could be misremembering but I have a recollection of her insisting he wouldn’t have taken his ownlife? It may have been on of the army perhaps.
They’re working for me?
Apparently there is no suggestion it’s MH related they don’t know is the short answer.
He was a bit “off “ before the disappearance but nothing to suggest he was having any major issues.

Am just listening to this podcast now…. I don’t agree that he didn’t know the area. I reckon if he went to st malachy’s he would have been familiar with the area

Is that Tigers bay?
Definite talk of county lines which we suspected!

I don’t think Northwood is in tiger’s bay? I could be wrong but I think tiger’s bay is closer to the town but Northwood is on up?
This podcast is actually really interesting. This is the first I heard that Fiona went up to cave hill on the night to look for him.
I feel he is being balanced about the potential sectarian aspect and not blaming people when we don’t know. The thing I dislike about this is that people on twitter are trying to turn it into an NI issue when it is just a missing kid. Maybe it was sectarian.., I don’t know

I’m not sure about that @Griftymcgriftface - I’m from north Belfast, my brother went to St Malachy’s and my granny was from further up the Shore Rd, near Mount Vernon. I wouldn’t have known it.There’s not much crossover there for kids who are from those areas, never mind from Ormeau/Fitzroy. I mean obviously I could definitely be wrong and things might have changed in the last 20 years, but I can’t see how he would have known that area. Unless he had swimming lessons at The Grove at some point… or knew/met someone over that way 🤷‍♀️

I don’t know the area at all but apparently he headed for tigers bay? Whatever happened he definitely wasn’t going to cave hill that evening and he knew that ,so lied to his mum for some reason.

Has it been established he wasn't meeting his chums at Cave? I always thought they cancelled and he hadn't been notified.
Haven't listened yet.
Was he possibly planning to run away, hid in there until it got dark and disaster struck, trapped couldn't get out? Was he adventurous and wanted to explore? There's loads of videos online of urban explorers. Was he upset his mates weren't meeting him and wanted to get on with his tasks for Duke of Ed, a lot of it is team work but kids have to show evidence of special interests. If he was conscientious into his study 🤷‍♀️ also it was fathers day, wee lad may have had some stuff going on there perhaps a resentment that it was a normal day in his life. He was going to carry on.
So many possibilities.

I'm from North Belfast. You wouldn't tend to go to the Shore Road area unless you are from the area if you're a teenager/young person. Everyone knows everyone. I'm from the other side of the fence, so to speak, I know fellas who went to St Malachys who would definitely not have been hanging out on the Shore Road. Tiger's Bay is just beside Yorkgate shopping complex and Northwood is on along the Shore Road, getting close to Mount Vernon. If he went to St Malachys and needed to get to the Cavehill he would have went along the Antrim Road. Although obviously we know now he wasn't going to the Cavehill.

Now she's open to the idea? There was always talk she was in denail/riddled with guilt and who wouldn't be, it's an unfortunate things for those left behind regardless of how their loved ones died, they will always feel it.
But still I get why she wants answers, we all do.

Yes, he didn’t make any attempt to go there.

He did pass Tigers bay and his phone was found in the play park that is after the Limestone Road, same road that the other girls son was attacked on. I personally didn't feel she helped in all this, yes what happened was terrible but she was up in ever comment, every opportunity, no harm to her I felt frustrated, like she was taking away from finding then finding out what happened to Noah as she was pushing the sectarianism.

Is it just me or does he seem a wee bit off here 😐

Hard to say suppose we don't know him, at a push he seems a bit twitchy? The choir is obviously split so he's singing one part, the others seem more comfortable but then Fiona is saying this is him giving his all type thing. Was quite sad watching that actually 😕 he was a lovely wee boy.
---
I've always thought that. Was he neurodiverse?
This! I always got that vibe, especially when he was rhyming the science stuff! It was brilliant. That could have lead to MH if he was feeling different? Though it's portrayed he had a strong friendship group so suppose we have to take that.

That’s what I thought ! In comparison to the other boys around him it’s very obvious.

It wasn’t that brilliant 🙈 and I don't mean that to sound harsh or mean.

I don't know why I've never looked before, just looked up Fitzroy Ave, it doesn't look the best area, no offence, I don't really know Belfast other than the shops! But the area doesn't look great, it's quite near the holylands that's flooded with drugs from all the students.

That’s the only footage I’ve seen of him… No
Mention of anything like that but he’s definitely fidgety.
I've seen quite a few videos and always suspected he was. Undiagnosed and without support on board adolescence can throw up lots of difficulties.
