Honestly I'm sick and tired of people coming up with these "she's technically not breaking the rules in this case" / "the rules are different here" excuses. USE YOUR bleeping COMMON SENSE!!!! Who really cares what X government has instructed at Y exact point in time? In every country, specific rules have gone back and forth constantly since March, but at the end of the day the situation has remained the same this whole time: We have been going through a pandemic! The UK is about to go into another lockdown - clearly things are critical. We don't need people to make it worse till the last minute just because they are technically allowed by law right now. As someone above said, the point is not to have a race to get as much socializing done and go to as many places as possible till the minute the lockdown officially starts. It should actually be the opposite. Knowing that the UK is about to enter a new lockdown should make you think: "well, things must be really bad then, better stay extra safe!". People have literally been instructed to work from home where they can. And if there's ONE person who CAN work from home, you better believe it is Dimbob Smart! If she wants to support businesses then she can just grab the coffee and then go home. No need to stay inside WITHOUT A MASK! She literally is taking ZERO PRECAUTIONS: 1) she goes outside to visit a café which is unnecessary, 2) she decides to sit indoors instead of getting it takeaway, 3) she doesn't even wear a mask which is literally the bare minimum, 4) she doesn't even stay just enough time to drink her beverage, she actually stays for hours to WORK! How dumb can you get??? Can't believe people would actually defend this behavior. Especially when we are talking about a girl who's literally met up with 30+ people and has been out NON-STOP, i.e. she literally could be spreading it all over the place right now for all we know (she might just be asymptomatic herself, but she could still spread it to other people). She's a bleeping entitled dumbass and I will honestly NEVER look at her the same after this year's debacle. She has NO respect or even consideration for others. She's the most selfish person I've probably ever come across. I mean, she literally says it herself right: She's putting herself FIRST!!!! The problem is, she doesn't even put anyone SECOND. It's just HER. No space for anyone else in her tiny world!

If she was not as conventionally attractive, middle class, white she would have been named and shamed by now

It's probably because nobody knows or cares who Dimbob NotSmart is.

Kind of OT -- UK government somehow leaked the info to the media, they would've announced the Thursday lockdown much later if it was possible. Unfortunately they didn't, so now Dimbobs will be going out for 3 meals a day.

Packing is not Niomi's thing - she always leaves it till the last second because she has more important things to do, you see (going out for lunch with friends, getting a facial, getting a haircut, answering emails in a café, doing yoga 3 times a day). Not sure how she's going to deal now that Joe's not around. Can you hire a professional packer?

I'm off work this week and I've barely left the house! Going to a cafe to work/hang out is allowed but it doesn't seem wise when I can do the same thing at home? From some of her posts I have genuinely wondered if Niomi has a dangerously low IQ.

Love the way you've phrased that - social responsibility is exactly right. How does Niomi even begin to reconcile in her head that she recycles and avoids plastic and all the rest of it to benefit the planet but clearly doesn't give a toss about the actual people living on it who are dying and getting majorly ill.

All she cares about is making money and being thin/attractive, and being admired by others.
Her ''vegan wellness journey'' helps her be restrictive whilst exercising ridiculous amounts w/o raising too many eyebrows.
The saving the planet craps she spews is just for image, and in order for her to look like she is passionate for things beyond appearance and money.

Ah crap. My hips are aching as I’m typing this. I mainly do yoga because the breathing helps with my anxiety. Maybe I’ll stop doing the harder poses.

Tbf, this can happen for a lot of reasons and isn't necessarily linked with your yoga practice (though if you feel additional pain when doing a particular pose, it's probably best to soften it or skip it altogether). I get hip pain from sitting down at a desk all day, and it gets worse when I *don't* do yoga or stretch.

In contrast, one of my friends had chronic hip pain, so she asked her yoga teacher to tailor her yoga routine to stretch those muscles. The problem got worse. My friend eventually saw a physio who diagnosed that her hip abductor and glute muscles were very weak compared to her quads, which was causing the pain. Moreover, because the hip/glute muscles were already weak, stretching actually exacerbated the problem. My friend started doing basic daily glute strengthening exercises prescribed by the physio, and the pain is now almost completely gone.

My advice is always to see a reputable physio and to try not to panic about what we see online. Having said that, if you can't access a professional at the moment, some simple glute/hip physio exercises might help.

Just going back to her last (shitshow of a) video real quick. One thing that annoys me even more about this video is the clickbaity title she gave it. She had to know that naming the video "Life Update" would get a ton of views, and sure enough it got 2-3 times the amount of views she usually gets on her videos. Obviously people were going to get curious thinking she would address her broken engagement in it. In reality we learned nothing more than we already knew - she didn't give any new updates about her life. A more accurate title would have been "Pamper Night In" or something along those lines. She's just seeking attention at this point.

I’m inclined to agree with you. She hasn’t said anything to her followers about social distancing or taking the pandemic seriously when most of the other influencers breaking rules actually have. She strikes me as a conspiracy theorist so she probably thinks she’s so brave and not a “sheep” for defying the rules

One of the things I hate most about the UK is how selfish and individualistic people are. So many breaking lockdown rules for their own super special circumstances while having the nerve to be angry at going into another lockdown. It’s only going to get worse as Christmas approaches.

yes same, it is sad to see how different the attitude is in other countries. I know people in Spain and there it is standard for people to publicly shame people not in masks in the street (which there is a rule). What is it here and in the US that has made people so egoistic? Like many influencers she strikes me as an antivaxxer who just believes she will be fine (so many of them have threads here...)
