That would be me - Strava is the app that it's been shown she's used before - basically when you track an activity on a Fitbit/Apple Watch/Garmin, you can export it to Strava which then brings up the map, details of how many kms travelled etc - Nicola's strava screenshots have been posted on news articles as it seems she was an avid user, tracking her steps etc.

My point was that for anyone else using Strava, if you log the activity primarily through the actual Strava app, you can choose to use the beacon, which sends your location to a nominated person whilst you carry out your activity. And presumably if your device was waterproof (which mine is), it would still track you in water?
In theory I think it would track you but I think most devices are water resistant not water proof? So they cannot actually be submerged for long periods or too deep?

If her device is waterproof then it may prove invaluable.

this is another reason against abduction. if you’re going to abduct someone these days you’ve got to make sure they’re not air tagged or wearing a tracking watch or Fitbit. None of her devices have shown her leaving the riverbank or we’d have been told.

I might regret asking this but who‘s Linda, or is that just a name she’s plucked from an orifice 🤔
The dog’s ball? No being serious god knows. I just seen a comment saying she’s made contact and asking for Linda then when I went back to screenshot it’s been buried within all the comments.

Really interesting post on Facebook to read! Way too long to post the whole thing but worth a look.

If only Crime Watch was still on tv. In all seriousness though , a reconstruction of what’s known so far with someone of Nicolas height and build , wearing identical clothing to what she had on might stir a few more memories. It seems the police really don’t have any idea what happened. I still have a feeling that there is some significant family info the police haven’t shared that may or may not be relevant.
I don’t think there’s any need to stir any memories. It looks like they have already identified everyone who was there that morning and are gathering statements. It’s not like she disappeared in a vast area with multiple potential witnesses.

Sorry the Linda quote seems to have gotten buried somewhere but there’s a psychic done a live on YouTube apparently making contact and this View attachment 1936077
Dear god I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at the psychic post, so I’ll do both. 😭😂
Well that information should keep those searching for Nicola busy. 🤦🏼‍♀️

If she‘s that good, you’d have thought she could have said where Nicola is now, as she can’t still be trying to climb up a vine. 🤔

Now, all of my police training comes from watching The Bill as a child, but I’m pretty sure that the police could get a warrant to search it if they really wanted to even if the owner said no…
I've never even thought of this house tbh.. simply because it across the river so she would need to go around a long wait to reach it.. but if you think of the bird's-eye view this house has of the river.. the bench.. etc...oh here I go again. Mandatory Mania .!

My watch is fully waterproof to 100m but yes I wonder if that means it would still emit signal/tracking ability? Or just referencing that the actual watch would still work? Regardless, if there's been no sync from it, it points even more conclusively that it's been submerged.

Or the dog ran back up the bank and knocked her off balance. But if Nicola had rolled down, she could have lost an airpod and made marks on the bank falling, so does it make more sense she was by the rivers edge?
It does make sense but it was her leaving her phone makes me think she got up quickly and hurried down there. I don't think she rolled down either I think she was on foot and just couldn't stop herself.

ETA: That's if she went in the water. I'm still not convinced.
