I can’t stand the name Blake, I find it really offensive.
Some years ago I heard an embarrassed grandparent calling for siblings Tallullah and Maverick at soft play.
Oh and a friend of a friend called their baby boy Beauden.

I really dislike masculine names in the feminine form such as Georgina, georgette, phillipa, Harriet etc. I really like the cutesy girls names though like Ruby, Mia, Mollie, esme, poppy, Ceri etc. I’m welsh so I pronounce Mae or Mai as my, they are words in welsh language and are pronounced that way so that’s how we say them (obviously not everyone but my daughter—Mae is ‘my’)
I also don’t like many welsh names, Dafydd, Ioan, Iestyn, ffion, seren, blythyn, llew, owain, macson, Emyr, Mair, Bethan, sian, llinos, carys, Cerys are just a few that sound like nails on a chalk board. Although I love mali (welsh for mollie/molly) Mari, nanci, elen. Harry is commonly spelt as Hari and Jack is jac. When I named my children I didn’t want them to stand out yet not have 10 in their class. Worked for the first 2 but the youngest has 3 with the same name in her bubble of 15 in school atm
I only knew one other child with her name when I named her. Oh well never mind I still love it

I was in line for a super boujee, expensive food shop in south county Dublin the other day and the audaciously posh man in front me had a toddler with him called Grey. She was a little tit too, running around the place and screaming at randomers.
But Grey!? Who calls their kids these sorts of names??

I think it’s a name that’s of its time and will age horribly... Plus there’s nothing compelling about it really, it’s just a “nothing” name. Sounds like someone vomiting. I can’t imagine who would choose it for their child and what they’d be thinking if they did.... probably “I heard it on Neighbours” or something.Why offensive?

Instahag Lily Pebbles called her daughter Grey. Perfectly epitomises Lily's personality and outlook on life.
Instagrammer Jessica Avey called her sons Jenson and Jasper, which I think are better suited to a pet than an actual human being.

About a year ago I visited a client at her home, to be greeted by her daughter called "Pepper"
I was so tempted to ask if she was trying for a second child called "Salt"
It might sound funny, but quite honestly nothing surprises me anymore

When I'm pregnant I go a bit extra with my names, must be the hornones. With my first I was adament I wanted the name Star, husband intervened. But with my second I met a woman with a daughter names Pepper and I bloody loved it. Again husband intervened. I also wanted the name Tiger if I had a boy. I think husband would have divorced my if I'd pushed for that. I am not a fan of town names, like London, Paris, Berlin. And changing up the spelling doesn't make it better... like Londyn.

Surnames for first names. Parker, Cooper, Bailey, Riley...just awful. Also anything double barrel. They dont roll off the tongue well at all "Hi Lily-Grace!" Just pick one sodding name. Also when parents try to be creative (I.e chavy) with their kids spelling. I once met a girl called Breannah (Brianna) and "Ruebi" (Ruby) the poor kid will go through their whole life having to spell that for people because their parents tried to be trendy.
