Coffee Moaning for Sunday. Happy Halloween!
I can't wait, it's my favourite time of the year!
These losers have obviously slept in today. Today's title is "Halloween Nostalgia, SCARY FILMS, SCARY Dreams & What SCARES You MOST In LIFE." Yes, Mark typed exactly that way. What a dodo.
Screaming from Nadia, Mark is wearing one of his creepy masks. Before they do anything, they are going to wish a happy birthday to Tori's Leo. Happy Birthday gets sung. The picture quality is sucking. Mark says he is breathless and Nadia says she has that effect on men who sit next to her.
Mark says there was a producer who whenever Nads was in the studio to do a voiceover, his nose would start running.
He's just allergic to filth. Nadia does 4 little simple Halloween recipes on the Never Not Worth Watching Show. Off to 720 p to fix the picture. Mark says it is manageable at the moment. Cesar mentions the solar flare going on this weekend affecting wifi. Mark says it's affecting the weather. Bernie is on a beach in Turkey and of course, Nads is jealous. Katie's son who is 19, his cancer has returned.
"It's so unfair, so unfair." Mark says it puts everything into perspective. 4G is failing, going back to wifi. Mark is going to spend most of the day scaring Nadia. "He keeps jumping out at me with various masks on and I've got my folks coming around for lunch later. You should see if Nanny Di wants to come." Mark says she just left and doubts she wants to come back.
What on earth? Nadia suggests Mark jump out at Dina. "She swears like a sailor and when she is scared she usually kicks people."
Yes, if anyone needs a good kicking, it's Mark.
The feed just sucks right now. The dogs are getting better. Matthew is staying in watching Halloween movies. Mark wants to do that, but Nadia ain't interested. She says she will tonight. Alice says she hasn't been around much, she has just been diagnosed as bipolar. Nadia says a diagnosis is a big deal. "Big hug to you." Blurry, blurry and Mark switches back to 4G and says we have to suffer.
"Halloween nostalgia. Now who celebrated Halloween as a kid?."
Being Canadian I did! I loved the carving the pumpkin, dressing up, getting me some candy, sorting it out, classifying them into empty tins and I always knew my parents were dipping into my stash. Nadia says you have to be in your 20s to have celebrated Halloween. Mark says that a lot of people bemoan it is an American thing, but of course, Mark doesn't think that.
Doesn't it take away from Guy Fawkes though? I remember the days when the world wasn't so samey. Where's my Werther's Nadia talks about her Mirror column and doing up the house and dressing the kids up. 'I loved it...what's not to like?"
It brings out killjoys who are either religious fundies or extreme lefties harsing everyone's mellow. Mark says the first time he came across Halloween was in ET. Nadia wants to take the kids somewhere where they do it large.
There is a house in my neighbourhood, every year hires a load of decorations with about 20 gravestones and skeletons on horseback. Another house got their 10 foot skelton out early with a sign saying Happy Thanksgiving. My sibling has a doorbell with eye that opens with creepy music. Kiki passes in the background. Someone in chat thought it was tickle teet. Down the staris goes Maddie and Nadia says she is going to say goodbye to the kids. Nicola won a fancy dress competition dressed as a skeleton. Mark is lamenting the fact he has never gone to a Halloween party, like he would ever go if invited.
"Someone sort this
tit out for me." Nadia says she wants to have one and Mark says like the one in "Eyes Wide Shut."
Not a fan of that film. Tom and Nicole and they had ZERO chemistry, it was painful to watch. Kiki goes back upstairs. Nads shows her dressed up as it looks like Willy Wonka I guess, Maleficient and Uncle Fester-the one that almost killed her dad, because he said she looked like his dead uncle.
Catherine says adult parties are so fun. Mark says are you talking about adult Halloween parties or adult adult parties.
Picture is blurry again. Mark mentions the NNSS is a Halloween special, duh. Nadia says "why are you talking to them like they are 4?"
Mark says that is how everyone on the BBC talks on every programme they make.
No, it's just you asswipe. Kiki down the stairs again. More bitching about the BBC. A chatter says Mark has gone full Richard Madeley. What are the things in life that really scare you?
Getting sick, not being able to pay bills, being stranded with a flat tire, losing my memory, my cholesterol level being high, being assaulted, getting audited by the gov't. The list is endless really. Nadia doesn't like walking in the dark, the dogs barking when Mark is out. Someone else says memory loss and Nadia agrees. Vertigo, clowns. "What is reverse vertigo when you look up and feel like you are going to fall over?"
Que? Up goes Kiki. Mark has a fear of the underside of bridges. Wow. Spiders and rats, ghosts and spirits, butterflies and moths, worms, snakes, public speaking. Nadia asks if we remember the time with all those people dressed as clowns scaring people, what happened to that? Maddie was scared of lifts, because she got stuck in one at the Four Season in San Francisco, la-dee-dah. Elijah askes Nads if she saw Kaye on Loose as the Joker and says yes it was amazing. Someone says spots and dots and Nadia says there is an actual word for that. "What is the phobia for circle or holes?"
Trypophobia. "I know somebody with that" says Nadia. Of course she does. Mark says Maddie's Paddy has it so much that he can't eat crumpets.
What a sad existence. Welcome to Carol. Tim's fear is falling back into addictions. Dolls, dogs, closed spaces, feet.
I don't fear feet so much as I find them repulsive because people just slap a pair of sandals or slides on and don't bother to moisturize, clip toenails and some are just fug. Lisa had a phobia of spiders to the point of being sick and she had hypnotherapy and was cured. "Maddie is so weird about people's feet."
Right on Maddie! Kim says empty swimming pools. Lisa is fearful of the ironing pile on Sunday to which Nadia says she just doesn't do it. As evidenced by Mark's shirts NO
tit. Birds, escalators. May Boo says her mirror since she got older. Shivy has a phobia of vomit and Della's is rocking chairs.
Favourite scary films. Mark is not a fan of jump scare films. The best one according to him is the new Candyman. Carl says IT and Nadia says Kiki was obsessed with IT.
We know. Get Out.
What is with these people? No Hammer films? Hitchcock? Night of the Living Dead? Black Christmas the original? Giallo films? Universal creature features? Midsommar. Hocus Pocus.
What? Mark mentions It Follows, something about getting an STD and the last person dead following you. Nadia makes some faces and says no, that is the exact kind of film she couldn't watch. "Sex and horror mixed together. NO!" He says there is a scene with a boy and girl on a swing and in the distance is a naked woman just walking.
Perv. I like a nice low budget Canadian horror flick from the 70s and 80s like Prom Night or Happy Birthday to Me. I heard Ginger Snaps is a good from 2000. Mark loved Nightmare on Elm Street for the longest time and Blue Velvet. The Ring. BLURRY, BLURRY picture. Oh yeah The Omen! Wendy fainted when she saw the Excorcist.
I remember sleeping over at a friend's house who had a TV in her bedroom. It was the weekend of the first time of the Exorcist being on TV. Her mum was always checking up on us saying "You better not be watching that damn movie!" Della prefers Christmas and can't wait for Vlogmas.
Blurry picture again. Nadia said the forgot to go through the Vlogmas suggestions on the NNSS. Scary nightmares. Someone says falling. Tsunami. Nads has ones about kidnapping and the Devil."with the horns and the tripod."
Zoe has nightmares about people she loves dying.
I have had the being wrongfully accused of murdering someone nightmare. Mark has had terrible dreams about burying someone.
Nadia mentions dreams when you are kind of awake, but you can't wake yourself up. Mentions Kendall Kardashian JENNER's sleep paralysis. Carla finds Naked Attraction scary. Carla mentions being buried alive. Claire's is being chased by Nazis and being under the floor boards. Talk about eating cheese before bed disturbs your sleep. Joyce's house is haunted. Diana has seen a little boy at the bottom of her stairs. Mark whispers to Nadia to tell the story in Spain. She says she has told it loads of times. Nicola saw the ghost of her great nan. Michelle has regular out of body experiences. Rachel says she went to Edinburgh underground vaults and had an old man with whisky breath breathing on her. Mark says he and his friend Perry as kids where hit by something whilst in the swimming pool, they had red marks on their arms. "You are such a liar. What a load of old baloney." says Nadia. Nanny Di is here. Emma saw 2 little girls in her bedroom when she lived on the Isle of Wight and she wasn't afraid. Mark says that poltergeists are supposed to happen when there are teenage girls in the house.
No ghosts in general are more receptive to teen girls. He always has to big it up to a poltergeist. Nadia doesn't believe in it.
Welcome to Carol. HIT THE LIKE BUTTON. MARK IS REVIEWING ANTLER. FEELS THE POTATO QUALITY OF THE FEED IS GHOSTLY. HAVE A LOVELY, SCARY, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, FRIGHTENING DAY.
