Women that haven't been with their men for 45 years and saved 32k before making the choice to have a baby

Stoners

Anyone that games

Anyone that dares sit in their garden and speak above a whisper beyond 5pm
So true! I once posted about having been with my partner / lived with them for a couple of years, and got absolutely slated, ridiculous! Never posted again but lurked for many years. Now I prefer a good book or to come on here 😂

Being a goady bitch on MN is funny, esp the feminist threads, Jesus wept they are fucking crazy, they are basically trying to stop porn because it’s so unethical and all the women are trafficked, yawn, of course there are trafficked women but I’m sure the majority are not!

I like the TV boards but that’s it.
The feminist threads are beyond crazy!!! Constantly dragging sex workers and refusing to believe sex work IS real work (despite what opinions you may have on it). And the transphobia on there is off the scale!!!

I agree, the whole "bump!" is seriously annoying

There was a thread about en suites where someone described having a poo in one as the same as doing a dump in the corner of your living room. Mnetters never poo obviously
They are certainly obsessed with talking about poo ...

Ah I’m in good company I can see 😍 Yes Style & Beauty was useful and still worth a look but AIBU got too much for me with people just spoiling for a fight & all new threads seemed to get posted there rather than the appropriate topics i.e “AIBU to think this rash is Chicken Pox” 🤷‍♀️ 🙄
And people saying their child had “just eaten a fuck-ton of salad” when you know they would never utter a swear in real life 🙄😂

Nodding away at this! Years ago while TTC 2008 I think, mumsnet was a great lifeline. Also gave me the strength to leave the bastard in 2011. It’s nothing like it was, I haven’t ventured in there for years now. Waitrose this, France holiday home that. Not relatable at all.

I’ve never been a member of Mumsnet - it’s ever appealed.
Last year a couple of MN members joined a private FB group that I belong to. They took great delight in starting a thread on MN taking the piss out of things that had been posted on there. All so unnecessary. Some of them are like witches around a cauldron.
Perhaps that seems hypocritical of me seeing as this is a gossip site but people on a private FB group are not posting in the public domain.
That is really nasty! Mind you there are a lot of vicious posters on there. I have deleted my account after money grubbing post as well as reading this Maybe she could tap the 'DH' for a few Bob

I left after seeing how it was becoming a really horrible judgemental place with no empathy or real life experience whatsoever.

I remember seeing a woman post that her partner was smoking a bit of weed and should she try to get him to stop as they had a child together. One hysterical reply was that the baby would be taken away by ss after the police realise he is a drug dealer with other dealers 'in and out the house'. 🙄

I would be absolutely slaughtered for some of the life choices I've made on there 😂 but so many of them fail to realise that we aren't all born to Conservative parents that have been married for a thousand years with a pile of family money to fall back on.
Absolutely agree , it can be extremely judgemental- especially the Relationships topic. It’s full of posters adamant that their partners would never ever cheat , and if they did they would instantly be filing for divorce, kids or no.

On another note, I’ve been “off “ the chat forums for a while- lovely to see an old thread of mine still going!

I’m a regular on the covid thread and that’s not true at all. Maybe SOME people feel that way but certainly not all. In fact just recently people were encouraging a poster to take as many walks as they need per day during this lockdown if it helps their mental health. It’s nowhere near as bad as mumsnet and about 10000x funnier.
Yes sorry I just had a read back through and some people are quite compassionate but I definitely remember previous threads were I have read some very harsh posts.

I quite enjoyed her guided mediation: Imagine an ocean. A deep, blue ocean. A beach with white sand. A seagull flying over the sand. Pelicans chasing the current over the waves. The waves crashing on the beach. The white sand. The desert. Cactus in the desert. Blue sky. Blue, cloudless sky. Birds singing. A walled garden. Lush, green grass. Storm clouds. A cool breeze. The crack of thunder. The dark sky illuminated by lightning. A long, dirt road stretching toward the horizon. A grove of olive trees. A farmer. A woman pulling water from a well. Children playing in the distance. A tall tree, stretching up to the sky. Blue sky. Warm sun. Mountains in the distance, topped with snow. A farmhouse. A stable. Horses enclosed in a corral. Sunset. A flock of black birds in the sky. The hoot of an owl. The sounds of crickets. An old front porch with a swing. A glass of cold lemonade. A warm chair next to the fireplace. A gray cat curled on a small rug.

It was the posting from the back of the ambulance while the paramedics resuscitated her that made me doubt her story. 'Being blue lighted to hospital buslings, and I've just stopped breathing, be right back' :D :D
Excellent 😂

I've just dipped into Mumsnet and there's this bonkers thread in AIBU: "how long we can keep this going before it gets deleted"
They're all just throwing random words around and rabbiting on about boilers. I think they all have too much time on their hands... Are they all right?
Just had a look 😲 I think they’ve reach maximum in lockdown!

I joined MN about 8 years ago. Loved it for years, got great advice, and really enjoyed the Chat forum. AIBU was always full of hatred so I avoided that. Then a few years ago the hatred seeped into the rest of the forums making it so unenjoyable. Coupled with the multiple security issues, I decided to de-register and haven’t been back since. I think charging for MN is ridiculous when they get so much in ads and sponsorship.

Yes!! Or the people who spend £300 a week on their grocery shopping 🙄😂
From Ocado of course 😂😂😂

Me and I kept getting banned because I stuck up for myself. Very lame site mumsnet.

I also go on lipstick alley but that is more an American site.
Yeah and I hate their lingo too and they just have a different humour from us Brits and as we are quite dry and sarcastic then they always think the sarcasm is real so you spend your time constantly explaining that you were just being sarcastic, CBA with it!

Is she the one that posted a picture of her extremely flat tummy and it was supposedly days before her surprise birth?

That was one of the first MN posts I read.
Yeah, it might have been her. She said it was a surprise pregnancy but I think it got found out that it wasn’t. Or she posted on a sock puppet account that she’d died or something stupid. I can’t remember exactly but I haven’t seen her on MN since she had the second kid. It’s been a good few years since I’ve seen anyone who might be her.

Sorry I’m a bit late to the party here. It always stuck out to me how many people on MN had cleaners, not that there’s anything wrong with that if you can afford one, but they were constantly accusing them of stealing, it was awful! The final straw for me was when someone posted saying a brand new bottle of pink gin had suddenly become half empty and it HAD to be the cleaner, not her teenage son or husband who she later disclosed had previously been an alcoholic 🤦‍♀️

People from a working class background are as a rule the most kind and generous and give you the shirt off their back. Back in my barmaid days I would get tipped every drink off working class men/women, then your high day and holiday middle class customer would order a ton of drinks, talk to you like you’re a moron, not say please or thank you and not leave any tip!

I could also never get over how naive some people on MN come across, like they have never lived in the real world, dealt with normal folk or ever been in any kind of real life sketchy situation (not that that’s a bad thing!) oh and you’re an alcoholic if you have a drink any other time than on Christmas and no more than a glass of champagne then at that 😂
And you're drug addled scum that doesn't deserve their children it you did a few lines in your 20s 🙄😂
