EatShitDerek was the hoaxer who pretended to have a surprise pregnancy, wasn't she? Then got caught out by a name change fail or something similar?
Yeah, that’s her. She was a MN blagger and apparently got sent quite a bit of stuff from the MN aunties in the old days. She was vile but untouchable coz she was MN royalty

“Perhaps those vile posters would actually prefer it if AF topped herself.
Is that what you want?
Would you be happy then?
Someone is trying to preserve their sanity, so she can do a good job in what she’s been trained to do.

I don’t have a problem with that at all and I’ll be going to mine as soon as the weather picks up a bit.”

Oh my god, ‘Dowser’ is an actual psychopath.
Is this a quote?
Edit. Sorry I see it is.

Followed by calls to check his phone (wait til he's asleep then use his fingerprint to access it), put a tracker in his car and hire a private investigator. He's following the cheater's script, OP, he's probably got another family or at the very least another woman. Get your ducks in a row and hire a shit hot solicitor.

In fact the husband in this scenario is absolutely 100% over the moon that they are having a baby because they had already suffered a pregnancy loss, then he'd been through treatment for testicular cancer. The cancer is now in remission and he wants the whole world to know how much he loves his wife and cannot wait to be a dad.💖💝💞
I can just imagine the Mumsnet response, they literally suck the joy out of everything

I knew he was dodgy. Why did he keep getting banned, were people just reporting him. Those threads ran and ran for a long time. See things like that, I'd just let people work away if the poster wasn't asking for money and nobody was at risk.
I can’t remember what it was for, I think it was because he was so persistent like a fly around shit (although it seems like MNers are all over young people on MN I think the opposite is the case, I got/get Banned within a few days 🥴) — that and he didn’t seem to take personal safety very seriously (posting pictures of his front door, personal information in letters, his name etc) and given that he was a supposed care Leaver they had that duty of care to remove him? I didn’t see him on the beg or being goady or anything so as you say, you’d think they’d just let them run, so don’t know if he was making inappropriate comments like he did toward me

General opinion on Mumsnet was that any money that came into the household should automatically all be pooled together. They were very vocal about couples who had separate accounts. It was seen as completely abnormal and the phrase "All money is family money anyway" was CONSTANTLY parroted on there.
Ahhh I see. Thanks for explaining x

But the rest of the thread was members having a go at her, for using balloons and non recycling ♻ products.

Absolutely no help to her just "think of the environment" preaching

If she was a middle class woman who was having a birthday party for little Tarquin and needed to know where to get the same recycled things tat for the party, the replies would have been very different.
Exact same thing on the larger families board! It annoys me and I don't even have any kids.

Mumsnet is huge with their political threads, this site is more fun and I get the impression that there are younger women on here than MN.

@FrannyGallops in fairness that banning was epic!!! Happened live on the site stuff thread iirc. Justine was furious.
I visited mn for something or other recently, couldn't get over it, there were videos playing all over the place. Its changed, really changed. I guess it had to, my kids are no longer babies but people still have them, I believe :ROFLMAO:

I don't know the person who took against me is still on MN, it's probably beneath her now. She occasionally gets retweeted into my twitter timeline and is still an absolute arsehole. Imagine spending pretty much your entire adult life showing everyone what an awful person you are via social media.
Ooh who? I was on there for years , I remember all the old Mumsnet Royalty 🧐

Any theories on why posters are so confrontational, I got called out a few times for saying the wrong thing, I really had no idea I said anything controversial and I got absolutely ripped apart by one poster. One! I think I said (light hearted thread) "all men like sex", the poster then educated me on why I was a sexist vile specimen, I felt so humiliated but definitely learned a lesson to think carefully before posting silly comments.
No idea but I’d love to know! I’ve posted about my experience earlier on this thread I think 🤔 it was at that point I stopped commenting haha. Just kept my account to have the skip through OP posts feature.

My schools sold us crisps at breaktime!

When we went to the school induction the deputy head suggested a bag of crisps as a break time snack. I remember when they had a healthy eating awareness week and a bit of fruit was suggested for playtime snacks...by the Thursday my kids decided they’d had enough fruit and took in crisps again.
Same. High school was donuts, crisps, pop, cakes and chocolate all sold in the canteen. Same at lunchtime alongside the school dinners which were chips with chips and a side of chips 🤪
My primary school, I can't believe I remember this, you could get 2 biscuits..plain ones like malted milk, nice or digestives, and a cup of diluted orange for 30p.

Oh yes, nuts are a no no! Completely understand that. Did anyone know a child allergic to nuts when they were kids?
Its more the no crisps rule and such, imagine if your employer vetoed your lunch.
I just remember one boy who must have been lactose intollerant as when we had milk time he would have a juice drink like a capri sun or something.

The education threads are bonkers, lots of ‘call ofsted’ for the slightest thing. Some people obviously think there’s a crack team of inspectors waiting to swoop in after one call from MN.

Just wanted to say that I’ve recently come off mn, since lockdown the place has become toxic, so many posters being utter c*nts, there’s just no need.

I was never on Mumsnet but Babycentre was the same!! Was anyone else on there?

The mums on there would get really bitchy if you had a different opinion to them! Felt so much better when I deleted my account lol
