This is going back many years, I think it was either 07 or 08 during the Christmas period there was a romance thread about a single mum kissing her Dr colleague at the Christmas party she was so embarrassed but slowly admits she fancies him. It was a long thread about them eventually falling in love. It was really sweet or so I thought years later i found out it was all a hoax it was a writer testing out the plot for a book!
Oh god I remember that one! There have been quite a few 'romance' ones over the years which were either book plots or written by pervy blokes!

There was the Zeebrugge one too which was ridiculous and unsurprisingly also turned out to be a creative writing exercise.

I have just had the most MN thing happen. I mentioned on a thread my holiday had been cancelled and someone replied with...
"Come back to me when you've gone 30 years without a holiday abroad and you have to save for 2 years just for a holiday in Cornwall"
I haven't been on holiday in 5 years but even if I had last summer why shouldn't I be upset I should be going to Disney this weekend rather than for a walk.
Cornwall is pricy! Maybe they should aim smaller-Great Yarmouth maybe!

Oh yes, nuts are a no no! Completely understand that. Did anyone know a child allergic to nuts when they were kids?
Its more the no crisps rule and such, imagine if your employer vetoed your lunch.

I remember a "rude celebrities you've met" thread got removed as well for not being in the spirit of the site. Literally the most un-fun, blandest forum ever.
I give that dishonour to DigitalSpy! There is a thread on MN at the moment about Tattle and someone in it said a user on here posted the blueprints to an Instagrammers house. Did that happen?

I have registered, I still post on mumsnet and in all honesty, can’t get that het up about Justine trying her luck but the moderation is bound to be better.

There are a few well know and loved posters on there that troll and seem to get away with it.

Mave, we must have gone over to Reddit at the same time , the cockroach and Justine’s response was comedy gold.
You're joking me!!! I wasn't really following the D&C stuff until it went OFF!!! But I followed everyone over to reddit for a good nosey. Small world my friend.

I had an account there a few years ago, deleted it after the data breach. I had a look when the Jack Monroe threads were up, fooking hell, what a mess.

"Ambulance, NOW."

Erm, alright then?

Plus, the chances of being a troll seems to be in direct proportion with how many fetuses a person claims to be pregnant with

Anyone just go on MN still for a giggle?

Any story about badly behaved step children is ALWAYS followed up with comments like ‘were you the other woman?’

Husband stays at the pub an hour longer than he said ‘lynch the bastard!!! He is cheating on you!!!’

any minor inconvenience on someone’s street ‘log it with 101’ 😂😂😂😂
Being a goady bitch on MN is funny, esp the feminist threads, Jesus wept they are fucking crazy, they are basically trying to stop porn because it’s so unethical and all the women are trafficked, yawn, of course there are trafficked women but I’m sure the majority are not!

I like the TV boards but that’s it.

Was that a crafting group? Because if it was, I remember the thread, and the cackling derision they greeted people's crafting projects that had been posted, in all good faith, for people's opinions of their work. I thought it was horribly bullying, and reminded me of the clique of bitchy girls at school/work who are too dumb to do anything remotely artistic themselves, but will rip the piss out of anyone trying to do something different.
No it wasn’t a crafting group. Hope you’ll understand if I don’t say which specific group though.
At least it’s looks like we weren’t singled out then, they have previous.
The trouble was, for a while it made everyone suspicious about posting in case it was shared elsewhere.

I liked one of the replies ‘yes we know you have been here since 2011 and yes we know you have kept the same name’.
That definitely means you don’t troll.
Its definitely a type of trolling, tattle give warnings for that shit, on Mumsnet they just ignore. When it finally beats the dust it'll just be the cockroaches and sparkling roaming around.

Yeah, that’s her. She was a MN blagger and apparently got sent quite a bit of stuff from the MN aunties in the old days. She was vile but untouchable coz she was MN royalty
Is she the one that posted a picture of her extremely flat tummy and it was supposedly days before her surprise birth?

That was one of the first MN posts I read.

The speculation on that thread is disgusting, but then it always is on missing person and murder threads.
Yep. I read a page or two and was like “nope, these folks aren’t my people”

disgraceful.

Women that haven't been with their men for 45 years and saved 32k before making the choice to have a baby

Stoners

Anyone that games

Anyone that dares sit in their garden and speak above a whisper beyond 5pm
So true! I once posted about having been with my partner / lived with them for a couple of years, and got absolutely slated, ridiculous! Never posted again but lurked for many years. Now I prefer a good book or to come on here 😂
