Mumsnetters on takeaways… ‘we never buy takeaways, I can cook far nicer food myself’.

THE WHOLE POINT OF A TAKEAWAY IS THAT YOU DON’T HAVE TO COOK IT YOURSELF, JANET
Next time 'hubby' tell me he wants dominos I'm going to tell him there's no need for that I've bought us some nice seafood we can cook, eat and clean up after. I'm sure he'll be delighted. Is there a hubsnet where he can complain about me 😂

I don't eat frozen jacket potatoes, I either make my own or buy the m&s ones with loads of cheese on from the fridge, it's completely irrelevant to the topic of frozen jacket potatoes so I think I should go and tell them all immediately so I can fit in with all the mumsnetters.
Go for it! There's some lunatic who oven bakes 40 potatoes at a time and freezes them and just can't fathom why a shift worker might find it easier to have a 4 pack of frozen spuds in the freezer 😂.

this is very niche but I have irrational hatred of people who are evangelical about unnecessary batch cooking and freezing. Seen idiots on social media who peel ginger and garlic, crush it up, freeze it in ice cube trays, then freeze in ziplock bags. Takes so much mess, time, faff and ££. Asda and other supermarkets do frozen cubed ginger and garlic for about a quid.

It’s just ‘busy work’. Makes them feel important.

What a waste of time. Mumsnetters would hate me! I AM doing a bit of a batch cook today. This is because I'm a large greedy povvo who is on late shifts next week 😂. I'm using frozen garlic, schwartz packet mixes, M&S chilli con carne paste and will use Chef Parmalat bechamel sauce for lasagnes. Before any Italians hunt me down, I will make the meat sauce from scratch but it's going in my slow cooker.

Is this mumsnetter talking about

A) a close relative she knows well and loves
B) a celebrity she does not know and will never know

'I feel incredibly angry and frustrated at her behaviour'.

B) Katie Price

Has anyone posted 'who?' yet? Because I will be very disappointed if Mumsnetters en-masse know who she is. I know far too much about her myself, since celeb gossip briefly turned into the KP fan club a few weeks back :D :D

<raises hand slowly>

I murder jacket potatoes in the oven then nuke them too long. Is it even a JP if you don’t need to pick up the skin to eat it and risk losing a filling in doing so? I can’t be doing with feeble anaemic attempts at JPs.

(Freeze them so I can just get them one at a time)

Mum strike. Ffs. That's not a Mum strike. Glazed fruit or not. It's a SPA DAY. I could tell you what a Mum strike is but you'd probably report me to all of the DServices 😂.
I'd rather go day drinking in Wetherspoons with my friends and share a hot wings platter, than go to a spa day on my own. My idea of Mum strike is being too pissed to do bath and bedtime because of aforementioned day drinking. :D
