I think they were the total opposite - never fit in and never had any mates, now use a keyboard and a screen to hide behind to try and feel a little bit of power.I see them as the cool girls at school who would sneer and mock anyone who was different to them. I think some of them have never grown out of it tbh.
Sometimes, I picture this scene.
i thought all money was ‘FaMiLY MoNeY’Yep, there were lots of replies saying they would use as their escape fund
"Tinkly laugh"Yep. I can well imagine the feigned ignorance. “Adults get Easter eggs? They buy themselves Easter eggs? Are they ten years old?” <blink blink>
Tattle is probably the nicest, friendliest forum I’ve ever posted on. And I’ve posted on loads over the years.I was thinking about this today. Tattle has a horrible reputation, and I don't really understand why. The basic premise is to gossip and say what we think about people in the public eye in any way shape or form - we don't have to like them, and I suppose sometimes it can be quite cruel, but it's usually meant with a joke or at least a certain point at the heart. So, public targets, in the public eye whether they like it or not.
I've never seen anyone be gratuitously rude or say something hurtful to another poster here. Yes of course there's the odd spat, but it's always resolved by agreeing to differ and then moving on.
Whereas on that other site... its like its a game to be as horrible as you like to another poster to gain brownie points or something. I dont get it - if you think someone's a twat why engage with them?
Urgh it's just like all those early lockdown posts about how wonderful the restrictions are because they're an opportunity to live at a slower pace and appreciate the smaller things. Some of us were already capable of that without needing a global catastrophe to sort our life choices out for us, we just happened to like being able to see our loved ones as well...Completely tone deaf post about how positive the increase in living costs is, op used up some mushrooms !
They really look down their noses down at people in trade, conveniently forgetting that they are new upwardly mobile middle classes and could probably buy them ten times over. Notice how you never see a poor plumber or electrician? In fact I know a family of electricians who are millionaires through sheer hard work and making good business decision’s. Yet that lot won’t even make these blokes a cup of tea, presumably because they didn’t go to a Russell Group Uni and don’t work in a ‘niche industry’. Stuck up fucking bitches. They’re shitty to workmen and their cleaners and nannies. I don’t have experience of having a nanny but you treat people who do work in your home well as it usually means they want to do a good job and they’re happy to come back. Anyone knows that, high flying career or not!
That one tickled me. Food and eating during the day is at the very top of my radar“eating during the day is not high on my radar”.
So long as you aren't TOO middle class, because if you dare to enjoy life or any luxury whatsoever, you will be jumped on by someone who had to walk 10 miles to school on a bowl of gruel after putting in a shift at the mine.I used to be a regular user of Mumsnet until I saw the light and joined Tattle.
They are all just stuck up cunts and think their shit doesn’t stink. I much prefer it here where you can have a laugh and a decent discussion without being shut down and it genuinely feels like everyone is welcome here, unlike on there where if you’re not white, female, middle class, then you might as well be dead.![]()
