What a weird set up! Imagine hearing your neighbour do a poo whilst eating your dinner in the garden 🤣 Isn’t this something you would have thought about when buying your house- you can’t place a ladder over someone’s window. I’d be getting my nerdy little arm out too

Wait a minute, so that posters neighbour put his arm through a window and moved a ladder all with one arm and through a window? Doesn't sound like a nerdy little arm to me, sounds more like a super powered Marvel arm

I see them as the cool girls at school who would sneer and mock anyone who was different to them. I think some of them have never grown out of it tbh.

Sometimes, I picture this scene.
I think they were the total opposite - never fit in and never had any mates, now use a keyboard and a screen to hide behind to try and feel a little bit of power.

I was thinking about this today. Tattle has a horrible reputation, and I don't really understand why. The basic premise is to gossip and say what we think about people in the public eye in any way shape or form - we don't have to like them, and I suppose sometimes it can be quite cruel, but it's usually meant with a joke or at least a certain point at the heart. So, public targets, in the public eye whether they like it or not.

I've never seen anyone be gratuitously rude or say something hurtful to another poster here. Yes of course there's the odd spat, but it's always resolved by agreeing to differ and then moving on.

Whereas on that other site... its like its a game to be as horrible as you like to another poster to gain brownie points or something. I dont get it - if you think someone's a twat why engage with them?
Tattle is probably the nicest, friendliest forum I’ve ever posted on. And I’ve posted on loads over the years.

I’m particularly enjoying the thread about ‘Should I send money to a Moroccan taxi driver?’ Yes, really….I haven’t made that up 😂

Completely tone deaf post about how positive the increase in living costs is, op used up some mushrooms !
Urgh it's just like all those early lockdown posts about how wonderful the restrictions are because they're an opportunity to live at a slower pace and appreciate the smaller things. Some of us were already capable of that without needing a global catastrophe to sort our life choices out for us, we just happened to like being able to see our loved ones as well...

Theres currently a Tattle thread on there. The majority of posters seem to support Tattle while others call it where the school bullies hang out when they've left school

They’re shitty to workmen and their cleaners and nannies. I don’t have experience of having a nanny but you treat people who do work in your home well as it usually means they want to do a good job and they’re happy to come back. Anyone knows that, high flying career or not!
They really look down their noses down at people in trade, conveniently forgetting that they are new upwardly mobile middle classes and could probably buy them ten times over. Notice how you never see a poor plumber or electrician? In fact I know a family of electricians who are millionaires through sheer hard work and making good business decision’s. Yet that lot won’t even make these blokes a cup of tea, presumably because they didn’t go to a Russell Group Uni and don’t work in a ‘niche industry’. Stuck up fucking bitches.

You can tell a lot about people from how they treat the help as the old saying goes.

If I’ve not been drinking and I’m not already in my bed, I’ll collect my man from a night out and vice versa. Part of being a couple is doing nice things for one another.

Another absolute mindblower on relationships. OP’s autistic son doesn’t like her ‘partner‘ and she doesn’t know what to do about it. A few posts in and it quickly transpires that she‘s only been with the ‘partner’ for five months, and yet he’s met her kids and is staying over several times a week. OP also talks about how they have different approaches to ‘parenting’ (yes really). So she’s not only practically moved this man after only five months of dating, she’s also allowing him to parent her children, and now she’s wondering why her child is unhappy about it all? The OP is being very defensive when it’s pointed out that five months is way too soon to be referring to him as her partner and to have introduced him to her kids and is accusing them of making her feel terrible 🙄

I used to be a regular user of Mumsnet until I saw the light and joined Tattle.
They are all just stuck up cunts and think their shit doesn’t stink. I much prefer it here where you can have a laugh and a decent discussion without being shut down and it genuinely feels like everyone is welcome here, unlike on there where if you’re not white, female, middle class, then you might as well be dead. 😡
So long as you aren't TOO middle class, because if you dare to enjoy life or any luxury whatsoever, you will be jumped on by someone who had to walk 10 miles to school on a bowl of gruel after putting in a shift at the mine.

Thread yesterday where a woman was asking for advice about pensions/financial security as her partner had said he was leaving his pension to their kids and not her. She was just asking for advice, nothing offensive in OP. Poor poster got so many harsh replies. That place is so nasty on a Sunday, maybe they are all so unhappy in their ‘six figure’ jobs that they feel bitter on Sunday!

I’ve complained to MN about the fasting threads in the past but they’re really not interested.

Those threads are very, very dangerous and should not be allowed on the site. They’re pure pro-Ana.

It’s Mother’s Day so no doubt we’ll get multiple threads whinging about it. My mum has always been happy with a card and a bottle of wine or box of chocolates, but that lot expect the red carpet treatment year in year out. Even in 2020 during deepest lockdown they expected their six month old babies to buy them gifts and cook them a meal🙄
