Well I wouldn't say it's insensitive but I do wonder why they felt the need to name their dog that name! I'm Irish so am allowed to feel that way 😅

Come on now, it's far from the most batshit things ever on that site. Can you not appreciate why Irish people might dislike the Royals appropriating an Irish name for their dog?
I'm Irish and couldn't give a fuck. Not everything has some appropriating hidden meaning behind it. They like the name, used it for their dog. It is bat shit crazy to see anything wrong with that. 🙄🙄🙄

They’re currently getting very cross on the Storm Eunice thread when people point out it’s not that bad near where they are, because apparently it’s dismissing the feelings of those who are in the worst hit areas and ‘just because it’s not bad where you are doesn’t mean it’s not bad anywhere else’. Well I don’t think anyone said that have they? 🙄

Southern biased, precious little snowflakes the lot of them.

They don’t eat, don’t drink, don’t smoke, they don’t like sex, they don’t like their husbands, and they don’t like anyone visiting them or hanging out with family or friends. Also they’re always Constantly scrounging and saving for a rainy day.

They’re all a share of miserable bastards

I had to hide the Preppers sub forum (way before Covid!) because the nutters hoarding supplies for the apocalypse were so disturbing. I’d rather be killed than attempt to survive the total collapse of society.
The thing is you want to die in the event of an apocalypse because if you survive all you’ll have to keep you company are the nutters from those threads!

I laughed at the poster saying they’d be STUFFED after eating one. Smile wiped off my face when I saw the posts about only eating once or twice a day, and “eating during the day is not high on my radar”.
Oh mate, you'd best stay the fuck away from the Intermittent Fasting section. Competing in terms of fucking weeks of only having water, how allowing themselves some Chicken Oxo is a failure and purely by the way mentions of how husbands, parents and friends are saying it's gone too far. All allowed to stand.

It's called eating fuck all. Otherwise known as Anorexia Nervosa.

Then we have this thread

She's not eaten for a day and a half and therefore isn't going to the toilet. Because there's nothing in there, perhaps?

Suggestions; Take laxatives. A dose of salts. Psyllium Husk. Chia Seeds.

There's this on another thread

.

No, it fucking isn't. A Huel is 400 kcal and a cup a soup is 40-about 120kcal. Back to the ABC diet, I see.

Another thread

There's a word for that behaviour.

But WHY? You aren't fecking Jesus in the Wilderness, you're a 30-40 something Mum wearing Hush or a yellow Seasalt plastic mac, living somewhere like Staines.

If I were the next of kin of one of those women and they ended up autophaging the fuck out of their heart muscle (which is NOT a fucking cure for cancer, by the way), I'd be directing my lawyers straight to Mumsnet for allowing this shit to go on.

I know this is cheating but I have nowhere to else to post it and it made me laugh. Spotted this on Digital Spy:

We’re living in a Renaissance it seems. The ever changing political climate, through the PM’s problems, and the Russia-Ukraine dispute, not to mention, how we’re now seeing some of pop-culture’s biggest shows being dealt with an axe. Such uncertainty in the world at the minute.

This reaction is to the news of the decision not to show Neighbours anymore 😶

Thread asking for advice about a pasta bake using a jar (😱🤣) of sauce… of course someone has to come on and say that they’ve never used a jar (shock horror) of sauce. Ok, so perhaps this isn’t the thread for you then and no need to comment?!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I naively posted on AIBU a while ago and was absolutely ripped to shreds. I'd wanted to know if I was being an arse about a situation that had me really upset. Stupid move because my sensitive pregnant arse ended up even more upset after their responses. Half of them can't read either I swear as they didn't read half my post. I can't believe Tattle gets such flack when in comparison I've only ever been met with kindness and understanding on this forum.

There’s currently hundreds of mumsnetters having a breakdown because they’ve found out schools don’t peel the carrots they give to the children. The children are all going to die from e-coli and pesticides.

JUST like hiring a private investigator is a normal everyday thing to do. Imagine the ramifications if you found out your partner sent a PI to spy on you while you were on holiday. Not to mention the cost!

They’re all oddly embarrassed about the most mundane of things. For example if they accidentally write ‘of’ instead of a ‘if’ they do a dramatic post afterwards apologizing for the typo, assuring people that they can spell and that it was just a mistake because it’s Monday, followed by the embarrassed face emoji. If MN had an edit button it would cute a lot of their posters anxiety! 😁
Its their identity, its what they live for, for a huge chunk of them, that they spell and type well. There's a thread at least once every month that goes to capacity with people wailing about why can't everyone spell perfectly.
And the ones that pretend to just be helping with spelling/grammar corrections.
"me husband is leaving me and I'm disabled with 3 kids and I'm really struggling to coap"
I'm sorry I don't understand, your post is unreadable so I can't offer any advice. Apart from learning to spell cope

Her problem was that somebody looked at her baby?

I'd give her some leeway for being in the immediate postnatal period, but really...
She looked at her baby before her mum could AND she wears a hoody and white trainers. No wonder the OP hates her, she sounds like a narcissist. Or she could have early onset dementia and have forgotten how RUDE it is to look at peoples babies especially before their mum has.

Weird, because there was a thread recently where a forty year old husband goes clubbing with teenagers, and when he's still not home an hour after he said he would be, a worried MN wife calls the police. They find him almost paralytic, miles away on a dangerous, busy road attempting to crawl home. She's furious as she's due to give birth any moment. Sympathy from MN? No, they gang up on her implying she's a nasty harpy whose husband must be desperate to escape her clutches, blaming his shitty behaviour on her. She clarifies he can and does go out, but a) that night was uncharacteristic for all sorts of reasons, and b) emphasised the context (her late pregnancy)/ his reckless behaviour could have killed him. They gaslight the shit out of her and tell her to lighten up and make him breakfast once he wakes up. It was as if 4chan lads had brigaded or something. Shitshow of a thread. I was almost tempted to make an account just to tell them what odious cunts they all are :ROFLMAO:

Is there any, "gosh, adults have easter eggs? How bizzare" type replies, the same as when someone is upset they didnt receive a present for a special occasion.

I love the mentality that after 18 no gets presents for anything. Ever.
Yep. I can well imagine the feigned ignorance. “Adults get Easter eggs? They buy themselves Easter eggs? Are they ten years old?” <blink blink>

There's a thread in AIBU by a poster whose husband has noro and is shitting himself on what sounds like every surface in in the house. After being accused of being the poo troll she uploaded photographic proof 😱🤣

There's a thread on there about not wanting a bank holiday in June and the selfishness and batshit weird arguments are off the scale

View attachment 1224219

Presumably no one forced them to buy a house near a pub? And presumably the vast majority of 16 to 18 year olds won't have their studies disturbed by a bank holiday? And the OP of that thread not wanting an extra bank holiday as she will be forced to pay out for childcare for the day, how is that anyone elses problem and did she not sign up to the extra costs and responsibility by having kids in the first place?

View attachment 1224223
Cracks me up how all of them on there act like their kids doing GCSEs is a major world event and everyone else's lives should revolve around it. I don't even remember what I got for mine.
