Not sure I can even bring myself to click on the ‘why are there so many autistic kids now’ thread to play ableist bingo
I steered clear of that one, too.

There is one thread "He just turned up" about a BF who "never comes to mine" but who appeared unexpectedly in poster's dining room ("very sweetly") on a day when she'd told him she was going to dinner with a friend and both of their kids.

Cue "creepy/ stalker/ red flag" (which I have to admit I agree with if the post is accurate) but within a page he has stopped being "sweet" and very soon there are more red flags than a Stalinist May Day parade and she's just waiting for the moment she can get away from him.

Someone has asked if people would judge them for going out with hairy legs. Everyone has rightly responded with no, of course we wouldn't judge... Apart from one person. This person has said she would judge, and not only that, she actually had a NIGHTMARE recently about going out with hairy legs 🤣

She's lucky she sleeps. Some of us have insomnia.

(Not true, but in the spirit of MN it had to be said!)

I actually do have insomnia and I’m snobby and shaking because of her insensitivity and I’ve logged it with 105.

I see the Allotment bollocks is ramping up to fever pitch pending the fantasy eviction day. OP is now housebound so can’t actually be there, conveniently

I’ve just seen a titwank described as breast stimulation. That’s enough mumsnet for today.

Ironically, by the time it starts thinning out and being theoretically less like to leave you feeling like a freshly plucked chicken out of the boiling water bath, hormonal changes mean that a) the skin is more delicate and b) you're significantly less likely to want to bother with anything that benefits from less foliage anymore.

Bastarding peri.
I’m in my mid-40’s, have been having a full Hollywood wax (everything off) around every 5 weeks since my early 20’s.
it hurts as much now as it did then; there’s as much regrowth now as there was at the start.😿

The “I eat a pack of biscuits a day” is mn bingo.

which I’m one of you was it 😂

-skinny fat
-type 2 diabetes
-worse than smoking
-sugar! Carbs!
-upf
-sugar spikes
- dentist here! What about your teeth.
- wait til you’re 40/peri.

the only point I think is valid is if she’s eating a healthy diet, plus an entire pack of biscuits (1500 cals?), and is still underweight, I’d be getting checked out for underlying disease.

I stay well clear of step parent threads on MN because there is no winning and no shades of grey at all.

I’m also addicted to the Doghouse despite owning no dogs at all. They make getting a dog sound like an act of masochism really. I look around at the many friends I have with dogs who seem to still be able to live a normal life in amazement.

I also LOVE the private school threads and can spend hours reading about the various entry tests or choosing which boarding house at Harrow would best suit my kids. There’s a long running thread I lurk on, despite the subject matter being totally irrelevant to me, because a poster has spent years describing her now adult children, who are clearly Satan’s offspring enabled by her helicopter parenting. To my joy I recently met someone who has done exactly the same and we had an enjoyable 30 minutes deconstructing it all.

We had another flounce this morning on a MIL thread where, very surprisingly, a lot of the posters were on the MIL side

Apparently the YABU responses were giving her anxiety and it was pulled

I LOVE those posts that start
"dentist here"
"lawyer here"
"teacher here"
"sagger-maker's bottom-knocker here"

(OK - I haven't actually seen that last one)

They are always a prelude to pontificating shyte given spurious authority by the initial declaration, and probably a lie.

There were quite a few flounces and deletions this weekend. I don't know why HQ agree to delete every 2nd thread like they do, just because the OP is being a knob and doesn't like being told they're being a knob. There are some very subservient women on there, sadly.

My city has one of the biggest equestrian horsey events in the world, actually coming up next month. I went once with a girl who did some PR and got free tickets. I was never a horse girly, in fact, I don't like horses very much but wanted to see what the fuss is about.
It was the horsey paradise of everything horsey MN dreams off. Flowery dresses, big, twattish-looking hats, a constant wiff of horseshit, and of course our fair ladies looking all a bit horsey themselves. I really wasn't all that interested in the competition after a few rounds (sorry, but watching about 50 people jumping over these obstacles gets boring after a while) and decided to hit the food mile, it looked good.
It wasn't. For the most part, size-Japanese portions, tables occupied by more Mumsnetters and their twinkly laughs, more horseshit. You do need the 6-figure husband though, it was quite expensive.

there’s one this morning about someone who broke their wrist on holiday and is in extreme pain.

wrist surgeon here!

now I may be wrong but do you get surgeons that specialise is wrists? Wouldn’t that come under orthopods, maybe at a push an orthopod who specialises in wrist reconstruction?

anyway that amount of pain I have diagnosed a post-op infection which is now processing to sepsis. Obvs.

just waiting for the update from a&e, then I’ll change my name to house and apply for that job as consultant diagnostician. Qualification- has correctly diagnosesd sepsis on mumsnet.

There seems to be a lot of sex based aibu at the moment

Someone doesn't want her husband to finish inside her because it 'drips out for ages afterwards and gets everywhere'. There has been suggestions that he should spunk on himself, spunk in his hand, spunk in a sex towel on the bed etc

One poster says she inserts a tampon and leaves it overnight to collect all the jizzo_O surely that is just asking for an infection!?

The seasalt scam thread is still going. It’s absolutely astounding. I’m sorry but that thread is a literal reminder of the fact that 50% of the population are of below average intelligence. It’s like they have no critical thinking skills at all. And yet so many people coming on saying “don’t worry OP, these scams are so realistic, anyone can get caught out. I did!” Errr no. You’re just thick as tit too.
