I feel like I might need to investigate Skechers now as I'm in the market for a new pair of trainers. I've got wide feet and will be mainly walking in them but also go to a sports-related building (think gym.) I'm middle aged (think 50) and generally DGAF what I look like at the gym. Should I try them?
Depends what you are doing in the gym. I wouldn’t recommend them for weight lifting as the sole would be too squashy, and although I used to run in their Go Runs I don’t think their normal trainers would be good to run in.

I have a challenging foot shape (think mallard) and Skechers are fantastic.

My mother would’ve bleeping loved MN and would’ve enjoyed sneering at others insisting her children only wore Clarks. Yeh, thanks a lot for the completely square toe-box maman.

They are also indeed brilliant for holidays - particularly the 10 mile walk to your terminal.
Ugh, same.

I don't run as my knees are fucked, I'm mainly doing rowing machine, cycles and elliptical, plus weight training but not lifting (as my spine is also fucked.)

Thanks for the feedback all, I now have some new shoes to try and didn't even have to content with S&B and have Natasha recommend mill bleeping girl boots 😂

I think my Nan would have liked MN. She was teeny, thus we called her Little Nan, and she also decided to give all her children French names, despite not being at all French (I’ve done the family tree research, we’re all solidly boringly English for many many generations) Oui, mon Nan c’est Francais, n’est pas? Ou est l’hotel de ville? Cochon d’inde. I always knew my B in French GCSE would come in handy one day.

I do love on any thread about porn, at least 50% of the thread will insist their husband is as disgusted by porn as they are and never watches it.

Course he doesn’t love.

I have never tried Skechers, should I feel left out?

I live in converse and DMs and I’m 39, is that ok or would it have MNers sobbing? I hope so.

Just sliding by.....in my sketchers to say mine are a ballerina style with cross over straps, rather than trainers.
Am i redeemed?
The 'usband wears gazelles and doc martens. Unfortunately his feet are much bigger than mine, so I can't ' borrow ' them.

Far too straightforward! Not pass agg enough!
I think an email would be better

Greetings dear colleague,

One has noticed that thou doth call one by a Christian name that was not bestowed upon one after one exited ones mothers birth canal. Henceforth one would like to be called Petra by yourself and if any other Christian name shall pass from thou lips then one will have to discuss this matter with Human Resources as a matter of extreme importance.

Best of all the regards,

PETRA

Bloody Nora, there's a long thread seriously discussing, in great depth whether they should dilute or not dilute a fruit juice drink.

And whether the poster was unreasonable diluting said drink when children preferred it undiluted.

And there was me thinking I had problems🙊

20 years ago none of us saw ourselves wearing Skechers extolling the virtues of comfort. We were too busy flashing our thongs and midriffs.

Amora is mustard or mayonnaise. So all the beige liquids covered.

I mostly wear AllBirds, which are comfortable beyond belief, and very fashionable (I’m told) in Shoreditch, but resemble Cornish pasties and look frumpy as hell anywhere else.
