I am becoming increasingly suspicious of the ITU nurses who are exhausted after a 12 hour stretch and then come straight on to mumsnet to argue about Covid for two hours. Not sure how that thread panned out and I didn’t disagree with her point but hmm.

I hid the thread otherwise I spend hours trying to change strangers minds.

I have two aunties who work in the NHS and as far as I know never mention work on Facebook/Social Media, I think they have to be careful about what they say on social media.

I think if I’d just worked a 12 hour shift as an ITU nurse, I’d want to sleep/chill out not argue with random people on Mumsnet.

Has she been banned? I kind of miss her bragging, especially at Christmas. Nothing like crumbs to make you feel like an inadequate feral loser.

She’s certainly conspicuous by her absence, even under her most recent username. Perhaps MNHQ finally cottoned on to her mass of rampant inconsistencies, dodgy medical ‘advice’ and foul sneering and wielded the ban hammer.

I will miss her Christmas with the Sheep fairy lights and her present list. I think she made hampers for all her friends and colleagues one year

Not to mention the nativity on the village green where all the teenagers participate and don’t act bored or slope off

There's a post on the "Omicron found in the UK" thread from a poster blaming the pandemic on globalisation and how she wants to go back to a "smaller hassle free world of less international travel". Probably posted by a late 50s/early 60s mum who's already had a lifetime of holidaying abroad and doesn't mind denying the youth the same experiences just because she's "over it"

Probably the same teenagers who eat nothing but lentils for each meal and wait at the stairs each night waiting for mummy to give them their goodnight kiss before bed time.

I love the hysterics of some of them over on the Coronavirus threads. One woman said that she is grieving not being able to travel whenever she likes. They are so bleeping out of touch it's nuts. How the duck would they deal with a real crisis?!

Other either early onset dementia, undiagnosed autism or he's a narc. No other options are available. Everyone who is even mildly rude fits into these three categories.

Every other post now is about how nobody can be happy. Nobody noticed how unhappy they were before COVID but now everyone is so unhappy and life is in limbo that they fear for their children’s future as they’ll obviously be far unhappier than any other generations. Everyone else comments how they’re unhappy too. It’s strange times and they should all cut themselves some slack and allow themselves to be unhappy. They all agree with one wise commenter who believes that aspiring to be happy is unrealistic and unobtainable, you should just practice gratitude and strive to maybe one day be content. In unison they all wish to one day be content if they can ever overcome this unhappiness. Nobody they have ever met is truly happy. Those who seem happy are lying, not to be trusted or they’re just deeply unhappy and kidding themselves.

The ones who think forgein travel should he abolished are always the one who had travelled abroad from an early age and seen most places. They can't comprehend others havent been in that position .

Theres a woman at work who is mid 30's and she travelled round Spain and France as a teen on her gap year, taught skiing for a season in canada, family holidays to Amercia, middle east etc, lived abroad in various countries for 5 years and thinks foreign travel and holidays are uneccessary
