I suspect they may use AI/bots to moderate at least some of the time.Well, if you want details of the inner workings of Mumsnet, they're advertising a moderator/ community manager rols at the mo - as this is something I've actually done a lot of, I'm tempted to apply, but don't think I'd last... https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/collections/recommended/?currentJobId=2818927090
I made the mistake of reading the Covid Board yesterday and it felt like I’d been in a time warp and transported back to 2020 with some of the replies regarding Christmas.
I think some of them on there are:
A) Mentally Unwell/Have Severe Health Anxiety
B) Trolls
C) Government Shills
There isn’t any middle ground on that board either - you’re either a mask loving lockdown lover or a anti vaxxing conspiracy theorist.
I agree that there’s a mob mentality on there.

I love how you’re not allowed to discuss gender but calling the resident full time parent of your partner’s children rum is pretty standard over thereI've really grown to dislike mumsnet.
I was banned from there a while ago for saying that I thought this sudden non binary trend is a load of balls. Something like 90% of the poll voters agreed with me but because a couple of the professionally offended got the hump I was booted off. Note how I was the only poster banned despite almost all of the commenters agreeing and giving their take on it, some of which were far more scathing than my OP.
I tried to sign up again a couple of times when I felt I had something constructive to add to a post or well meaning advice to give to somebody who was asking for support, only to be automatically banned again for being a 'PFB'
You're not allowed an opinion on there if it is remotely controversial. The site owners are too concerned with bad press to give a tit about the sites actual users.
Before being banned I had a separate thread in on another thread asking for support myself. I received some brilliant replies from kind posters about a very sensitive subject at a vulnerable time that was causing me alot of upset in my personal life as I didn't have anybody offline I could talk to about it. Poof went that thread though because the moderators 'had some concerns and wanted to look behind the scenes'
Er no, I wasn't a troll you mats (MN) merely a heavily pregnant woman needing advice on a forum designed to support such people.
Wankers.
It’s not really about tucking in a shirt, though: it’s about letting everyone know that she’s such a teeny, slender size 8 ‘hourglass’ that normal clothes designed for us lardy types literally swamp her delicate, 18” waist. Hence the photos to demonstrate that her waist is the size of the average person’s wrist. There's a thread in the style section where someone needs help on how to tuck a shirt into pants.
