Has anyone seen the thread on MN about someone wanting to make a Hinch hamper for their sister? Tattle gets a mention as ‘vile’, before the thread descends into posters calling each other wankers and cunts. The irony!

Wow, tattle is the most disgusting hateful site I’ve ever seen. At least on MN you only get called a cunt if you deserve it.:D

I tried to “park” a mobility scooter on someone else’s behalf once and crashed straight into a wall 🙈

O
It’s very small thing to annoy me why can’t they just write “my husband” or “my daughter” rather than writing stupid acronyms like DH or DD?

They curl up like witch boots, I would cry if forced to wear them 😂
Or little elves might wear them to help Father Christmas?

Some poster is now saying that noisy eaters shouldn’t go out in public if they can’t eat nicely without smacking their mouth when they eat. Already someone has told her to look up misophonia as she might have it. A lot of posters claim they have misophonia.
They are so entitled. Whinging endless about normal neighbourly noise. For example I wouldn’t dream of complaining about a baby crying or a child playing in their back garden, nor would I complain about someone listening to the radio in the back garden in summer. They seem to expect complete silence all the time, but when you live in close proximity to others you have to expect some noise. Maybe it’s because I grew up in a Victorian terrace where we could hear the next door neighbours TV through the wall and hear them opening and closing their kitchen cupboard doors (they could hear us doing the same), but it never entered our heads to complain and to be honest you only noticed it when it was really quiet anyway. If you want complete silence you need to move to a detached property, though they’d probably find fault with the neighbours there as well 🙄

- I picking up an Amazon parcel left outside the other day and slipped on some ice, now I have a broken ankle and I'm struggling to get the housework done, we're a single parent family, does anyone have any tips to help?
-- Amazon is an appalling company, OP, they are highly unethical, do some research into their practices!

The same arseholes appear on threads where children have had a falling out and encourage the OP to get a solicitor's letter drawn up quoting the Human Rights Act and discussing the age of criminal responsibility. The Dunning-Kruger effect is strong :ROFLMAO:
And those ridiculous texts to the parents which no one in rl would send 🤣

Imagine a man posting to say he would get rid of all women!! He would be crucified!! What I hate is they think women are saints (unless you are a step mum or mother in law) and men are always at fault. I know plenty of women that are dicks and many of them on there. I've read a few threads recently (no longer post) where the woman has wanted a other baby and the man hasn't and the 'advice' has been to 'accidently' get pregnant, and they've known women who have done it. Such double standards.
Absolutely. I remember a thread where a poster was broody for a second child but her husband had wanted to wait a while until their eldest child started school. She secretly stopped taking the pill, chucking it down the sink and then when she not surprisingly got pregnant immediately realised her selfish act was going to land in her in trouble, panicked and posted on Mumsnet.

She was given a roasting by a majority of posters and advice to come clean to her husband and to try and find some form of paid work to finance a second child but there were some encouraging her to lie further by saying it was a "surprise" pregnancy and the pill wasn't that effective anyway. (I think it's 99% if taken correctly)

It beats me why some of them got married or in a relationship with a man in the first place considering they hate them so much.

The one about the secret santa and the boss being late for the "fisting" springs to mind. Someone found that so funny they managed to unlatch their breastfeeding child as they were reading it while breastfeeding 🙄
That is the one I was thinking of when I posted:LOL:

Ah yes the ridiculous reactions - ‘I spat out my drink / I have tears streaming down my face / I woke up my husband laughing’

God yes. They are also so snobby about places like Primark, when for a lot of people it’s all they can afford. They’d hate me as most of my clothes comes from there, Shein, New Look, F&F@Tesco, George@Asda etc. Ideally I’d love to shop more sustainably but just can’t justify the cost! You’ll see a thread from someone asking where they should get nice work clothes from and they’ll say Mint Velvet (I’m sure MN has shares in that place as they recommend if so often) or Jaegar, but those places are so fucking expensive and out of the range of most normal people. They really have no clue. The financial privilege is off the scale, and yes I agree that they are nearly always frumpy as hell when you see the photos of them.
Are some of them actually narcissistic and crazy enough to post pics of themselves on Mumsnet?

This is when mumsnet shows itself for what it is; the amount of bitter women who reply to those ‘how old do I look’ threads with “I would say you look late 60s” when it’s clear the poster is no older then 30 🤣 I’m half torn between thinking the poster deserves it for posting such a stupid thing / amazed at how horrible a load of women can be and cause such a nasty pile on! Quite what outcome the op wants, I’m never sure…
I wouldn't have the confidence to post my face on Mumsnet. I like to think that the poster wants people to say they look 19 and they're so jealous 🤣

The drinking thing is incredible. Nobody drinks. Well, maybe a shared bottle of wine with “DH”
once a month, but no more than that. Can this really be true? All these middle class mums? I just don’t believe it, but why would you lie on an anonymous forum?

I have a large glass of red wine every night, which firmly places me in the “problem drinker” category according to MN. Oh well.
I don’t know. I don’t ever drink: I just don’t like the taste of alcohol!! But whenever I’m out I’m always in the minority - or even the only person not drinking. So much so that everyone asks if I’m pregnant, on antibiotics or have an alcohol problem! Nooooo, I just don’t like it! My vice is chocolate. I eat a family bar a night - ask my dentist!

Funny how they all just happened to need fuel that particular day. Before the first lockdown, a lot posters said they were just buying stuff - it was others who were panic buying. A lot of them were quite touchy and defensive about it, I think. I'm sure Mumsnet do encourage panic buying sometimes.

I doubt anyone would admit it on there that they were panic buying.

I once saw a woman on a mobility scooter almost get hit by a bus as she decided to drive across the road at the same time the bus was driving down the road.

I think I remember reading about the man who drove down the dual carriageway too.

I also read about a little girl who got hit by a mobility scooter and the woman just drove off, no apology and didn't check to see if she was ok.

Mobility scooters can be lethal in the wrong hands and I think there needs to be a test before someone can use them.

I read a thread yesterday about people needing to stop letting strangers live with their children which turned into a dig about single mums who apparently have low standards, are gross for allowing a man to stay overnight in their child’s home and of course plenty of indulging in their favourite hobby - man bashing. A lot implied that every man is an abuser.

This was all based on what had happened to Arthur Labinjo-Hughes.
I do think some people have weird boundaries when it comes to kids and new partners. Many men seem to think a new girlfriend should take on the role of step mum straight away just because she's female. Many women seem to move random blokes in after 5 mins when they don't know the guy from Adam.

I had a friend who had a new boyfriend like weeks after her separation and straight away they were sleeping over, her young kids were getting into bed with her and the new man, he even helped with potty training. This was some guy she met on the internet!

I think most people know you really need to have well vetted a new partner before letting them spend intermet and alone time with kids. But some people don't seem to get that.

Sorry to lower the tone, but it always amazes me how many of them claim to never fart in front of their ‘DH’. There are some who’ve been married for 20 plus years and have never farted in front of them. Do they have corks stuck up their backsides or something?

I mean if you can’t trump in your own home when can you? Everyone farts, it’s natural and normal.
I'm allowed to fart with impunity, but DH is supposed to leave the room. He's the only meat eater and I don't like his smelly meat farts. 😂

I had to stop lurking too. It wasn't doing my MH any good. Ever since I blocked the website on my phone, I'm a lot more happier.
