I have been surprised at how many long term posters on there turned out to be your basic troll.
I love how you’re not allowed to discuss gender but calling the resident full time parent of your partner’s children scum is pretty standard over thereI've really grown to dislike mumsnet.
I was banned from there a while ago for saying that I thought this sudden non binary trend is a load of bollocks. Something like 90% of the poll voters agreed with me but because a couple of the professionally offended got the hump I was booted off. Note how I was the only poster banned despite almost all of the commenters agreeing and giving their take on it, some of which were far more scathing than my OP.
I tried to sign up again a couple of times when I felt I had something constructive to add to a post or well meaning advice to give to somebody who was asking for support, only to be automatically banned again for being a 'PFB'
You're not allowed an opinion on there if it is remotely controversial. The site owners are too concerned with bad press to give a shit about the sites actual users.
Before being banned I had a separate thread in on another thread asking for support myself. I received some brilliant replies from kind posters about a very sensitive subject at a vulnerable time that was causing me alot of upset in my personal life as I didn't have anybody offline I could talk to about it. Poof went that thread though because the moderators 'had some concerns and wanted to look behind the scenes'
Er no, I wasn't a troll you twats (MN) merely a heavily pregnant woman needing advice on a forum designed to support such people.
Wankers.
Agree - also not saying you have to go with the crowd on everything / would you jump off a cliff if they were, but surely needlessly othering your child from such a young age is going to have emotional effects later on? :/I honestly believe that if they put such mystics around food that it'll damage the child in the long run. Kids want to eat cake at parties. As long as they're not eating cake for every meal what's the problem?
Aahh, the famous "penis beaker"Only visited once, and to be honest I didn't regret it (lots of shame but no regret).
After all, who could resist the lure of someone seriously asking if anyone else keeps a glass of water by the conjugal bed for their male partner to dip his dick in to rinse it off after sex ?
The OP was quite offended at the responses.
So weird but so funny.
That one was hilarious. She genuinely cant comprehend that people get up before that time. There’s someone having a fit that the postman woke her up at 7am with a delivery. She’s not had her 8 hours sleep![]()
Apparently used lightbulbs sell wellWhat a stupid suggestion. Everyone knows she should take in ironing, sell stuff on Facebook and see if she has any necter points.
Fruit sugars can be as damaging as sweet sugars on the teeth, our dentist has always discouraged eating fruit alone. There’s a thread on there atm about someone who doesn’t want the childminder to give her 14 month old any sugary treats. Which is fine. But then goes onto say her kid was happy eating raspberries while all the adults stood around eating the kids birthday cake. Poor little bugger didn’t even get any of her own cake! Why buy one in the first place?! Obviously everyone’s rushing on to outdo the OP with tales of how their kid has never touched sugar in any form and now only eats raw horse meat and grass as a teenager out of choice.
Paging @Gym&Tonic - care to explain yourself? What level of desperation do you need to find that impotent looking trip attractive. I wouldn't touch Matt Hancock with someone else's fanny.
And shock horror, they live opposite a SCHOOL!There is a thread in the AIBU section by a woman who is annoyed because her husband changed the letters on her “let it snow” sticker in her window to “melon tits”![]()
