As a contractor with 0 employment rights, I would not be gambling on a holiday and potential 2 week isolation meaning I can’t fulfil the contract I’m working on. Especially not in an industry that is struggling where there’s probably plenty of people ready to jump in my grave.Why would they book a holiday abroad in the first place when Lee might then have to isolate and miss a trip as the list of countries changes every other day. I wonder if they are pretending they had the holiday abroad and trip to Yorkshire is to make up for missing out but really they were never going abroad. Why the sudden urge to go now as never been in the last three plus years. I’m not even sure what life is currently like in Yorkshire re lockdown restrictions etc. Hibernate I say! Not everyone speaks scottish. I’ve a son in law and Scottish born and bred but he speaks English. It all depends in the job they’ve been used to working in or parents been working in and copying them growing up. When we went on holiday last year the pool attendant said I can’t believe you are scottish, I can actually understand what you are saying as most he couldn’t. Rebecca will be listening to her parents and they will still have their accent and carry it on. I’ve heard her try and speak scottish and she’s not that natural with it. What if wee Nicola says what wales are saying that people coming from high covid areas in England also have to quarantine 2 weeks just in same way they been abroad.

That may be so but you just wouldn’t stay there when it’s lockdown would you and most sensible people would avoid traveling through wheee it was unnecessary.You can still travel through central belt to get to final destination or even go stay in a hotel there if you have a break booked That’s not stopped. Plus those from central belt with holidays booked nicola said they can still go. This was mentioned in her 2.30pm speech in parliament.
Unfortunately it’s the only route by the A9 or M90 for anyone going south from Scotland so you pretty much have to travel. You won’t catch coronovirus in your car passing through to get to end destination. There is no lockdown on central belt. Nicola hasn’t imposed any lockdown as she’s told those from hot spot areas of Scotland they can still go on holiday if it’s booked. And if you are in any of those areas and need to be then you go about your business with caution. We’ve all to be sensible but we can’t stop living. We’ve all worked without any days off since start of lockdown and family majority working in nhs and you can still do things but always wash hands, keep apart and wear the mask and no visitors and with us working we’ve not had any visitors to the house and likewise visited anyone. Now these nhs family members that have worked all through are taking a well earned family break and their superiors in hospital haven’t told them not to. Just to keep to sensible rules. Nothing wrong with that. We had to drive into Aberdeen and the surrounding areas for work etc during their recent lockdown And was fine. Wasn’t stopped from travelling through to get from A to B. I’ve been looking on Scottish gov page and central belt certainly isn’t in lockdown. They can’t visit houses and pubs and restaurants are closed but there’s no restriction on their travel if they have a break booked and likewise if people are booked into a hotel in those areas. You will still get food in the hotels you are staying in. I love dogs (and cats)and have had them my entire life but I cannot stand when people insist on picking them up holding them all the while. It’s bad enough when it’s a little chihuahua or Yorkshire Terrier but a dog as big as Bertie should be on the floor. Every time you drive past there are always dogs on people’s laps with paws or faces on the tables or even sitting on their own chairsI’ve never had a dog but would Bertie enjoy being held like that? Would he not be flapping about trying to get down. I’m also not a fan of dog friendly cafes, how does it work if there are several dogs there at once? And why would you need to take a dog to a cafe? Don’t dogs like bounding about or chilling in their own safe spaces?
