So if she is going to be less “Spendy”, what about Spendy Sunday ....Oh My Gosh Rebecca, does that mean you won’t be able to be your disingenuous self pretending to buy all those jumpers that you aff link to hoping to get some pennies in off the back of your hoppy incase someone calls you out.
I don’t have a beautiful ‘house’ I have a lovely home, lots of mis-matched, lots of scratches on the floor from children & dogs over the years. These walls have known laughter, yes some tears but this home has been a place of security and love for my children and other family members, door is always open and the welcome always warm. My friends do not judge or like me for what I have, what colour my walls are, where my rugs are from or how many jumpers I own. They couldn’t give a tit that I didn’t get the latest iPhone within days of it being released, what is important is that my old & very reliable phone is always on and will always be answered, day or night.
Take a step back from your discontentment Rebecca, stop selling your children’s lives on the internet to the highest bidder.
I had a very interesting lunch the other day with a senior child mental health professional and how the repercussions of living your life in a ‘media reality’ are a major concern - mental health and attempted suicide figures are depressing. Another friend at the table has just given up her job as a medical litigation specialist lawyer and is focusing on the ‘Child Exploitation “ aspect of the internet and how legislation is falling behind in protecting exploitation from, for example, parents living their lives through their children on social media. This lunch was an informal group of us involved in voluntary work with vulnerable youngsters - not always from the stereotypical background you would assume.
