Mrs Meldrum #25 One night away paid by Lee, oh sorry forgot to declare it but it’s free!

I’ve been “mooching” and “pottering” around this thread for a while and feel I now have to comment.
I used to be a massive meldrum fan, I looked forward to their daily vlogs and really thought they were a brill family.

But then what the hell happened to them?? They have become so cold and...... just nothing. They literally have nothing going for them, their videos are so dull, no interesting content just the same crap day in day out.

The final straw for me was when I messaged Mrs M about a year ago asking if she would like some necklaces for the girls. I make my own children’s jewellery and I thought her girls would love it, especially Florence who seems to like dressing up. My jewellery is exactly for that, nice big, bright bubblegum beads that little girls love! And I’m not tooting my own horn but I do very well with my jewellery and it’s even been worn by some semi-celebrity children (not mummy floggers!). I didn’t mention this in my message, just asked if I could send her some free of charge. No reply. I then took the liberty about 6 months ago of just sending some to her PO Box as I actually just really wanted the girls to have them. Once again, no reply of thanks, nothing. I absolutely wasn’t looking for her to promote me, tag me or even mention me on any of her instastories or you tube videos. I don’t need her endorsement; I just wanted her girls to have the jewellery as I had become to really love seeing the girls on the videos and I thought they were fab. I simply wanted a private thank you from her. And nothing.

To me she is just a cold, calculating witch. No in fact she’s not calculating, she doesn’t have enough brains for that, she’s just a witch. She’s so grabby and I hate grabby. She talks about female empowerment, yet she can’t even send one word of thanks for things she’s getting for free. Disgusting.

As for lee, I can’t even go there with him. What an absolute tool. His “Go Fiyah, Go Florrie, hey little coco pops chicken nugget, did you have a nice sleeeeppppp” is enough to make me hurl. What kind of man is he? And what kind of example are they both setting to their kids???

Anyway I apologise for the huge rant! I’ve just had it with them!! They are going to wake up one day to a shower of tit; then at least she will know that the doom she has been waiting for will finally have arrived and their channel will go down the toilet!

I don’t think so; I have seen the girls in plenty of other children’s jewellery, but never mine. Even if my jewellery was not to her taste or she didn’t want the girls to have them for some reason, that is perfectly ok. However it’s just normal practice when you’re an adult to communicate. Especially when it’s someone trying to give you something for free when I have a huge client base elsewhere in the country who actually pay for my items. Just screams ungrateful and spoilt. Not a good look on a nearly 30 year old mum of 3.

So sorry to hear that. Your hard earned money and a lovely gesture and she can’t even say thank you ? you’re right she’s a witch! It’s all a big act and her stories today were very cleverly worded with sly digs and passive aggressive rants. “My friends and I were talking last night” and anyone who questions her “probably have a lot of their own stuff going on”. She will never take responsibility for anything and always transfer any of her shady behaviour onto others.

Ah ok. The ones I’m sure I seen were chunky hexagon shaped beads etc. It’s a vague recollection and may have been another vlogger.

There’s a few other people you may follow on Instagram who have children that wear my jewellery, not Scottish based or you tube people but folk from the tv etc. That may be where you’ve seen it. Obviously it’s just not good enough for Lady Meldrum! Maybe I would have got on better if I’d contacted Lee, he seems to like chatting to women online....?

So when you buy you buy a percentage and the rest is owned by a housing association. You pay them rent and service charge monthly on the percentage you don’t own and you pay your mortgage on the share you own. When you sell, the full price of the property is split so if you own 50% you get half the profits and the council get half. They never give a loan, that’s help to buy which is different. You can buy more shares and staircase to owning the property outright. But even when you own a share it is 100% your responsibility and is as if you own it outright. You fix things that break 100% the council do not get involved at all.

Sorry to jump into this but I’ve actually dealt with this in my line of work in NE Scotland. You do own the house 100%, you don’t pay any rent and you don’t have to pay anything back to the council. What happens is the house will be valued, and then for low cost housing (which all builders have to put on their new developments to get planning permission) it is given a percentage of value that it will be sold at. I.E. if the house is worth £200,000, the council will sell it to those who fit the criteria (those earning below £X or who have had a serious change in circumstance - divorce, etc) for 65% (an example, it will differ per council probably) which is £120,000 and that allows that person/s to get on the property ladder. When you sell you must offer it back to the council for them to resell to another party who once again fits the criteria, or you sell it on the open market at full market value but your share of the sale can only be 65% of the sale. Hope that clears it up - they’re bonkers for selling the old house it was a bloody steal for such a gorgeous home!!

Edit - just to be clear as I didn’t mention explicitly above, theirs was low cost home ownership and that is v different to shared ownership and part rent/part buy schemes.
