It doesn't always take years on the nhs.Heres a thought theres a place up north near newcastle i think called caudwell which does fast tracked funded autism assessments. So you get diagnosis within 6 months of applying to them (nhs in essex is often years of waiting) ..... my friend went up there early december for assessment and got diagnosed last week via zoom.
When they were in "durham for xmas" could they have been at caudwell?

Especially not for children Ronnie's age who are non verbal with delays. Many get diagnosed within their toddler years ready to start specialist schools by age 4
