Something I’ve wondered for a while is she said in the book the calls minky minkeh as her dad is from Durham I think it was, and that’s how he pronounces it. But husband is from Newcastle and he would never pronounce it minkeh. He pronounces it ‘min-key’. To me minkeh is more of a Manchester or Yorkshire pronunciation. I’ve just confirmed with my Geordie hubby he defo says ‘min-key’. Just something I find odd! Dunno if there’s anyone here from Durham who can let me know?

I would have ironed that whole blouse in the time she took to “rub over” the buttons . Rubbish
Yes! I found that example so frustrating There was a crease it sailed over and did nothing. I love the smell of ironing, it's relaxing to me. I don't do it though, I buy clothes where the wrinkles just drop out naturally lmao.

I don't like that gadgety thing. It would need to do an amazing, quick job to sell it. It's so slow and all I see is it spitting water I love how quickly she forgets she's a cleaning channel when someone tosses her some big bucks.

For a sales woman I find when she has to do a sales / AD story she goes shy and awkward at least for the one's she does admit is an advert.

What is IRONING?
Ain't nobody got time for that!
I hate it. Get the hump every Sunday when I have to do it. I've yet to find a way of getting things crease free. I've got 2 lots of school shirts and 5 work shirts to do
I remember my Mum screwing about it as well. Then she said I had to do my own.. fuck that I thought and bought loads of lycra clothes. She was well pissed!

Agree. It's far more of a Midlands (specifically East) thing.

I found this really interesting. People do seem to be getting more switched on when it comes to influencer marketing. Between this and the ever increasing numbers of people on this forum, I wonder if we are starting to see the beginning of the end?

My 16 year old son is also pretty awful. I think they all are tbh x
Teenagers are awesome!! But only when you can give them back at 15:10.

Also, on the topic of chlorine, it’s one of the chemicals that can have a delayed effect. We have to be really careful at work as small amounts can be produced in class practicals.

I actually caught up before 19:00 for th firs time this week!

Between all the talk of hospital bags, the blow dry and the Moses basket appearing today I’m wondering if she’s booked in for her section tomorrow and is trying to be cryptic about it.

I'm awesome at hanging items so that they don't crease, including school shirts. Only a couple more weeks and I'll never have to see a school shirt again as last child will be done!

This is a really ignorant comment. Csections are not easy. In fact, the recovery is harder and slower than that of a vaginal birth. They are very dangerous too.
