Ouch!! I hope she's ok now..?!Can also be indicative of pain. In puppies it’s completely natural but in adults it’s called a “ lazy sit “ and should always be investigated. My dog had done it for as long as I could remember so I just thought it was because she’s a big dog. We were seeing a behaviourist who commented we should get her CT scanned. Turned out she has a trapped nerve in her back at the base of her tail.
Its a fair point that it could be something else with him, but I'd lay bets on his hips. He's easily 8kg + overweight
I cried when we got the results. Hers is from bad breeding, she's that old fashioned slanted back that the kennel club promoted and has since harmed dogs no end.Poor thing, it must be so painful. I'm a human with knee arthritis and it hurts so much sometimes, it makes me want to cry but he can't express that. I also lost 4 stone when it was diagnosed and that has deffo helped, and now I've put a little bit back (who doesn't gain a little autumn weight amirite? ) I can feel it again more.
The vet was gutted to see it so bad in a dog so young (she's a rescue, and was only 3 when we got the tests) but he was certain she wasn't in pain. She's stiff some days, but we're tit hot on the correct exercise for her and will go down the other routes when the time is right.
Unlike Hinch, I actually love my dog and will do everything I possibly can for her
