On a similar note I also don't want "gifted" work done on my house, I want the clarity of paying for a service and (hopefully!) getting what I pay for. I can't imagine having ridiculous conversations with contractors about how many squares or stories a certain piece of work is worth (though I'd love to overhear some of those negotiations so I can have a good laugh

I’m going to go to a local salon who as far as I can see does not give influencers freebies and who I had a consultation with just before lockdown. They are also less expensive. I’m waiting until the initial rush dies down.

There's been a lot of speculation on the Hinch thread about someone with the same postcode as her, on eBay selling lots of items that suspiciously looks like stuff she has been sent or gifted/promoted.....obviously no proof but wouldn't surprise me if this is common place among a lot of influencers - the majority have shaky morals/ethics as it is so wouldn't think twice about selling on items they've got for free.
