Of course it’s staged, he had the phone up ready to video it. There’s something manic about his carry on, he’s all over the place the last week. Clemmie is probably now in Tananzia with her family, he’s home alone with the children having to fulfill her contractual obligations to the bathroom company knowing full well that most of his family and friends and colleagues are commenting on his bath and wash-hand basins that have cost thousands of pounds and becoming more removed and isolated from them. He appears to be depending on his popularity on social media for feelings of self worth.
The reality is he’s not naturally funny, everything Is staged, his twins have lost their cuteness. If he’d cajoled the twins into performing the dance routine he instagrammed this week, a year or two ago, it would have been cute. Now they’re four, it’s just what it is two four year old girls instructed by their Dad to copy his naff dance routine.
He’ll still keep his followers though cos we’re addicted to his nonsense.
The previous owners aren’t being shady. They’re probably just miffed that Sly down played all their hard work referring to it as a drafty pile of bricks. Does he ever stop and think before he posts anything? Did he not think that might be offensive to the previous owners? Or that he would be revealed as a liar again.
They can do what they like with it now it’s theirs of course but the changes they’ve made are all cosmetic. And the Sods as usual are taking all the credit for someone else’s hard graft.

I don’t think he even connected the dots to think they’d become aware at all. It would be great if mod or fod had ever made a post or story commenting on what a wonderful job the old owners had achieved and acknowledged what hard work it must have been.
Of course they can do what they like with the house. They bought it, it’s their’s. How they choose to decorate it is not really anyone’s concern but their own.

I knew it was her, I checked her profile a couple of times one week and she was always online and only ever reading her own thread even when she didn't post for a few weeks.

The old owners are professional house flippers. Slyman is pissing on their reputation so I'm not surprised they're saying something
They're not Reno ING a period home, they're tweaking a recently refurbished house.
Just to recap then:
1. She came here not to “defend her family”, but to trash Cash Carraway, before trashing her actual mates. Charming.
2. She completely recognised a year ago the concerns over selling her kids...yet here we are with that fucktard continuing to plaster them all over the gram.
3. She recognised the impact of influencers portraying an unattainable lifestyle on regular people, calling out others for skiing trips and pretending she couldn’t really afford after school club for her “son”. But continued in real life to take the freebies.

Yes to all of this! The previous owners left a beautiful, newly renovated house which they no doubt spent a lot of time and money, love, sweat and tears on and to see it being called a draughty pile of bricks must make their blood boil. Plus the SODs didn’t renovate, they got others to simply decorate it for them and it’s about time they started getting called out for their lies. Hopefully the stage bang to Sly’s head will knock some sense into him because if he’s going to drag his insta-career out for much longer he’s going to need a new game plan!The previous owners aren’t doing anything other than posting historical renovation photographs to evidence the work undertaken by them on a former property. They’re entitled to feel offended (if indeed they do) by the lies that SlyBot has written and to evidence how far from the truth his written word actually is.
All they’re doing is proving him a liar. They’ve not written anything other than a descriptive piece explaining how the former GP surgery was transformed, by them, into a home.
I imagine they must be fairly annoyed at the allegation that the beautiful Victorian home they sold to the SODs was nothing more than ‘a draughty pile of Georgian bricks’.

Agreed - tbh as we all know it wasn’t even declared as an ad originally, and for the average instagrammer what does AD actually mean in the context of a bathroom? We’re all pretty au fait with product placement, or even being paid to promote a product, but I’ve got no bleeping idea if they paid 0%, 20%, 50% of RRP for that. We can hazard a guess based on a rough knowledge of their actual day job income that they wouldn’t be buying £5k bath tubs and £4k sinks as it’s not in their price range tbh but I’d guess a single digit % of their reach knows that tit.
I’m personally upset that they are encouraging women to overspend on stuff that they can’t even afford themselves. There’s a difference between promoting a night out at the sugar hut or those hair bear vitamins for £20 a pop and THIS.

People aren’t only criticising the advertising side of it. They are criticising the actual decor - it’s too trendy, too cold, not homely, not warm, too soulless. We install ad blockers on our web browsers, none of us will spend time reading ads in papers & magazines, and we certainly don’t stop to read bus stops do we. Yet pop a bit of cashmere, some stacking necklaces and some moody paint around the gaff and here’s ur new lifestyle guru telling you to buy £500 lampshades their day job salary doesn’t even cover?

This is true, but This is a place for scrutiny! That’s what we do. They’ve been shady about how they’ve achieved stuff, thrown shade on the previous owners and not properly declared sponsored posts.
yes of course they can decorate their own home how they wish. but to present it to the world as ‘the dream’ and ‘many hours of our hard work’ is friggin shady as duck and a down right lie.

The reason it pisses me off though it that he preaches about reduce, reuse, recycle (ironically on his way to the tip that one time) but they moved into a house that was SO renovated that it featured in an actual magazine (it's been said before, but Google "Old doctors' surgery Ramsgate" to see, or "Real Homes Magazine" and Google images will show you the front cover pic which is of their old kitchen) but still thinks it's OK to take brand new recently installed stuff and dump it so they can talk about their new bedroom/bathroom/kitchen.
I actually remember when Clemmie posted about the redoing their kitchen and quite a few people were incredulous about the fact that they were tearing out this brand new stuff and MoD and FoD both piled on any negative comments by being really defensive about how they were trying to reduce wastage as much as possible.
IMHO they've chosen a public life; if it weren't for the people watching they wouldn't have the resources to do all this stuff. Therefore, if they wanted to renovate they should have bought a fixer upper OR been ready to deal with people's opinions. Even an honest "we know this might seem wasteful, to re-do a recent renovation. The thing is, this is our forever home. We have the resources to do this now; who knows when those resources will run out? Life is a funny thing so we're striking whilst the iron is hot and making it just the way we want it while we can. Anyone in the area who wants any of the units we're getting rid of feel free to DM etc etc"
They're good at making their house look spectacular and going on loads of lavish holidays but they are terrible at image management. What a brilliant opportunity getting rid of any re-usable furniture/fixtures/whatever would have been to help kit out a local community centre or shelter or whatever. They could literally have their cake and eat it too if they were more community minded and less selfish.
Sometimes you can listen to criticism and go YANO WHAT, YOU'RE RIGHT! and actually come off all the better for it. Instead they are so dismissive and defensive and take nothing on board and it makes them look like privileged, entitled arseholes who don't realise they'd be nothing without those commenting.
I love Instagram for sharing images and seeing what people I'm friends with, or people I don't know but respect and admire, are up to, but I've had a huge cull of people who went from being the latter and turned into under the radar sales people because it's horrendously insidious.

That’s cool, I know. I guess when you just read comment after comment about opinions on decor it gets a little much! But I know this is a forum of a lot of people and comments like that will flow.
Anyone else think FOD didn’t set up that head bash video on purpose? It looks real and like it bloody hurt! If he did set that up, that could have gone very very wrong, and very dumb when you’re presumably alone in the woods with two four year olds in your sole charge. But I bet he was weirdly over the moon that it happened so he had something to post.

Which is totally in character for them. They wonder why they’ve made themselves targets for criticism. Imagine if FOD had gone on IG last week and said - this is our new en suite, we want to highlight the work of these great companies that gave us press discounts, etc. All properly listed. Other accounts do it like that. But there’s no honesty or humility in the man, or either of them for that matter.
My theory is maybe it was fully completed recently. The old photo only shows the bath. Bespoke joinery/ shower screens can take months to be delivered and installed. This was 100% going to be her comeback. Sly tested the old IG waters at Christmas and they must’ve decided it wasn’t a good idea for her to come back with this. For them or the companies involved. Maybe the companies insisted it wasn’t on her IG but his.
