My daughter sings "I'm in America" instead of "I need a miracle".

I'm definitely going to sing her version forever 🤩

Someone posted the song Len - Steal My Sunshine in another thread the other day and I’ve always thought it was “you’re still my sunshine” not if you steal my sunshine. I only ever used to hear the song in the background like on the radio so I think that’s why even though it’s in the title of the song 🙃

There’s a song on a mobile phone ad, not sure what it’s called but the line in it is “a little funky sun” and the first few times I heard it I thought it was saying “a little fucking Sun” and was quite shocked that they allowed that line to be used on an advert.
YES!! The line goes something like: "lighting up the [something] with a little funk and soul" and all I hear is "a little fucking soul' LOL

Lean On by Major Lazer - I thought “blow a kiss, fire a gun” was “Marcuuus, Firegun” 😂

A friend thought Exodus (Bob Marley) was “Taxi-bus”

Once heard of someone mishearing the song that goes “I need a miracle, I need a miracle” as “I hate America” which I can’t unhear now!

In Jess Glynne's All I Am, I always sing "Sure the freckles on my arse spell out your name"
I know it's arm but it sounds so much like she is saying arse 😂

As a kid I just used to sing nonsense when I couldn't figure out the words. Does anyone remember the Coco Pops advert song, "I'd rather have a bowl of Coco Pops!" - 4 year old me used to just sing "Harava have a bowl of Coco Pops!"

Someone mentioned it up-thread and I saw the episode today, it was Phoebe in Friends who thought Tiny Dancer was "Hold me close young Tony Danza" 😂😂

This thread is hilarious and has made me realise I’m singing quite a few songs wrong 😂

Praise You by Fatboy Slim. I used to think he was singing, I wanna praise you like a shoe.
Its not Fatboy Slim or indeed a man that is sampled on that record but a woman (I used to think it was a man’s voice as well)

For so long I thought it said "like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay you down"... instead of 'I will lay me down'. Completely changed the tone of the song!

Deacon Blue - Real Gone Kid….. i thought it was “Living out baby” but just found out (via google) its “Maybe now baby” 😲
Listening to this now on the radio, and well I'm cross that they mislead me all these decades, sing clearer Deacon Blue, less woo woo-ing! 🤣

ETA I’ve just realised Madonna was older than I am now when she released Ray of Light... I don’t know why that feels so mind blowing, but it does 😂😂
It feels more scary to me, for she was 39 going on 40 and that’ll be me in less than ten years now. To think that I’m now older than she was in almost all of her 80s hits, I find depressing in a way.
