Found out today i had a miscarriage today at six weeks.... does anyone know how long the bleeding will last?
I bled from the Thursday afternoon right through to Sunday night and it was consistent. Sorry for your loss, I was between 5/6 weeks x

I had a miscarriage last month, period should be due in a few days, we did have sex 3 times since the MC but was not on planned days just randomly when we felt like it. Just found out someone I know is pregnant. I went straight to bathroom and done a test. I knew it would be negative… it made me feel 10 times worse but I wouldn’t have been able to stop myself.

My friend text me this afternoon to tell me she has had a scan today is expecting her second baby. I didn’t think it would affect me so much, I couldn’t catch my breath and cried for about two hours and have been so teary all day 🙁
It was like a knife to the heart but I feel awful that I also haven’t replied to her yet either 😔

Don’t feel guilty - I would (and have been) the same. People onto their second pregnancy while you try and just get and stay pregnant is such a heart wrenching disappointment and it puts it all into focus. Just send her a very simple congratulations text and take the space you need x

it took me about 3 weeks! After my chemical it was a similar time to when it usually would be but just a couple of days late xxx

Same, I ovulated 16 days after the bleeding started (miscarried at 6w). I'm waiting for my first period next week.

Another pregnancy announcement of someone I know… I feel like everyone around me is pregnant, even just to the shops, it’s absolutely everywhere!

Honestly I’m the same just now. We’ve just decided to start trying again after a bit of a break from it and it’s made me feel even less hopeful. The thought of if I ever get pregnant again I’ll never be able to relax and enjoy it regardless of what happens then you see so many people pregnant or with new babies and I just feel sheer jealousy which makes me feel awful to admit.

I really resonate with this. It’s coming up to my would be due date, and all of the emotions I was feeling during my miscarriage have come back. It’s hard to take my mind of it when it consumes my every thought. We had a break from trying and have started again but I just don’t feel excited. And actually I’m dreading it, because I don’t know if I can cope with the thought of another miscarriage happening again. Any future pregnancies I have now are tainted.

Yeah it’s just so hard when milestones go by or are approaching isn’t it? I would have been due at the end of July and I just keep thinking I would be very pregnant just now and it really tears me up. I think I dealt with it very well initially, it was an early loss and I think I felt almost relieved at the time it had happened so early. It wasn’t until dates like my first scan would have been and periods arriving when we were actively trying again that it really hit me. It fecked me up, I bottled it up to everyone but my partner as I just broke down constantly to him. After my period arrived in February I decided to just take a break from it all as I was just digging myself deeper into a hole. I want a child and to carry a baby but i almost dread getting a positive test again as I won’t take any enjoyment from it. I think of how over the moon I was in November seeing that positive and how it just simply will never be like that again for me.

Sorry for being a Debbie Downer, on my period just now and my hormones are all over the place.

This could be day 1 of pregnancy after MC in April. I feel sick with nerves about it. I also regret not trying enough this month but also really anxious we do get pregnant and have another MC. It’s going to be a long 10 days until period is due…

Fingers crossed for you. 🤞🏼 It's hard waiting for period and it's also hard after you see a + unfortunately. I'm 4w4d today and I'll be extremely anxious at least until I get over 6weeks when my MC happened.

I'm also incredibly annoyed at my doctor / nurse. I gave blood on Friday when I was 4w (12 dpo) and HCG was 57. Now she's trying to convince me it may be from previous pregnancy even tho my tests were negative 5 days after MC, the line on my tests is getting stronger and I have all the symptoms I had the last time again. I feel like she's so insensitive and making me scared when she knows I'm totally anxious after going through MC last month. I'll give blood again in 30mins and I hope the results will be okay. But I won't be able to relax until I see a heartbeat on the ultrasound. :(

Pregnancy after loss is a strange subject isn’t it? I often feel like it doesn’t fit in any of the chat threads on here and perhaps needs it’s own. On the TTC thread people are trying so hard to get pregnant, often for the first time so they don’t want to add another worry to their already difficult situation. People who are pregnant don’t want to be reminded of all the things that can go wrong and on this thread there are people who have just had a loss and can’t think/hear about another pregnancy.
It’s very hard in real life too to know where the conversation on it sits for the same reasons.

I think its own thread is a great idea. I know what you mean about the pregnancy thread and the blissful ignorance displayed there (which is a beautiful thing).

Ultimately this thread is about miscarriage and loss and I think that pregnancy after loss, while something we all think about, isn’t best discussed here, especially if women might be joining the thread with a fresh loss.
