I know at 18 it can be hard to be forceful in situations like that. With experience you just learn to have more confidence to ask questions. And I know it's hard to not feel like you're wasting doctors' time sometimes. But she has NO CHOICE. It's her ONLY job to speak up for Mabel. WHY would you go to a fracture clinic to find out about your child's fracture but come out with no answers?! And now she's acting like there's absolutely nothing she can do about it, instead of taking some initiative to find a phone number and get more information or a second opinion.
How could you even sleep at night if like she says, the pain seems to be getting worse
Part of me feels like they have actually given her all the answers (because what doctor would seriously act like a fractured thighbone doesn't matter?) and Mia just hasn't listened to a word of it. She seems to have a habit of acting like she's never been told bits of really important information, like her first college course having long placement hours, or her midwife saying a C-section was vital to get Mabel out safely.
I can't even cope with the McDonald's. At least Mabel got a hot meal that day.
