The abusive relationship thing is weird. She talks about how her long term boyfriend was a loving relationship and they fell out of love (he’s even talked about in the first book as being supportive of her ED stuff I think) and only in recent years has she started talking about it being abusive. Was it last week or two weeks ago that she said she was privating her old vlogs with the boyfriend in them (even though he used to habe his own YouTube channel back in the day lol). Maybe cos she’s literally inventing an abusive relationship she doesn’t want people going after him so is privating the videos...You forgot child inventor of the Barbie doll vibrator and recovering alcoholic

How do we know it's Shane she's referring to? With everything going on in the media right now with people making false claims of abuse ( I'm looking at you, Amber heard) I think if untrue, it's a horrific claim to make and if she left it purposefully unclarifed as to who she's referring to- leaves it open to speculation, which could damn well ruin his reputation. I'm all for believing victims- but when melanie, a known culprit for pathological lying and a narcisstic personality disorder(imo) makes these statements- she's the boy who cried wolf and I find myself believing nothing.
Edit to ask if anyone could point me in the direction of tweets/videos where she states being in an abusive relationship.
Edit - I don't think it was Shane? She says an abusive relationship in her teens, that "worked both ways"

I had a look on his YT channel I think his last upload was about 5yrs ago ( unless he's got 2 ) I'm sure he'd be wondering why he'd be getting an influx of abuse from random people all of a sudden ? If nasty comments were to appear on his channel..
I don't believe she was referring to Shane... when I done some digging it appears she was referring to a relationship from her teens? Or am I getting my wires crossed?

The same woman who thinks by eating a bar of chocolate will give her diabetes but sniffing chemicals and picking up possible contaminated waste that's ok
I can't believe her... when I'm out walking my dogs I'm mindful of them sniffing or walking near face masks and will go out of my way to avoid them and this woman is 7 months pregnant... was it not enough she was househopping, alluding to the virus being a hoax and now this.
I really feel for the women right now who so desperately want to be pregnant and felt triggered by her self diagnosed PCOS watching her risky behaviour in regards to the virus- knowing full well it's not something most would risk, myself included who's desperate for a baby. I would do anything to protect baby and I, and wouldn't give a hoot to anyone thinking I was overreacting.

My cousin has just had her baby and as soon as lockdown was announced she told her work she wasn't coming in and would work from home and they couldn't force her only my aunt and uncle have actually seen the baby because they are also being so careful that they don't catch anything

I had multiple miscarries in the last two years due to (/helped by) undiagnosed coeliac disease and extremely irregular periods. We were beginning to try make peace that maybe being parents just wasn’t for us. I’m so sorry you’re struggling and she is the worst person to be following right now for that and was way before she announced she was up the spout. I hope everything works out well for you

I’ve been reading this thread for a while and finally decided to register.
I started watching Mel before moving to Ireland, I pretty much searched for “ Irish blogger” and came across her. I used to like watching some of her videos but she just became more and more annoying to me eventually.
I even went to a meet-up with her in 2016 but quickly realised that I’m a bit older and much different to most of her audience.
Since then I have seen her giving opinions on many things she’s clueless about and posting a hundred stupid stories a day, so I actually can’t stand her now.
I remember at meet-up she told that she dated someone in LA and hoped to get back to them as soon as possible, then she started talking about relationships and said something like “I used to date a couple”, did anyone know anything about that? I know she promotes open talk about sex and sexuality bla bla, but isn’t dating a couple is just being a swinger?
which might be ok for some people, but she has recently adopted that saint not drinking wifey mommy to be carry on, she just goes from one extreme to another in my opinion.

For someone who complained about so many disorders/mental health issues/afflictions I will be MIGHTILY impressed if she has a completely natural birth for her first baby.
Well I guess best wishes to her because she’s not gonna have an option to give up when she’s having contractions. Don’t get me wrong, its obviously doable because that’s how humanity started but I don’t think women were likely to complain about getting diabetes from eating a chocolate bar then...

I’d say with her being used to exaggerate she will start having contractions and an hour later she’d think she’s 10 cm dialated, lol.
She doesn’t account that anything can happen during labour and you can’t plan it at all. Yes, hypnobirthing helps to alter your attitude and helps not to loose your mind, but doesn’t give you power over a natural course.

If she has the medical history she claims to have theres no way she would have met the egilibilty criteria.... So take from that what you will.
