I wonder why Eczrin {wrong spelling probably} has left?
Can't remember his name, but he made the Chinese duck in tonight's episodeas it stands I think Clionadgh , Mary and Louise
who is the vet? Have you seen this evenings episode? ( before I start with the spoilers)
He’s got sone right Turkey teef on him! She’s my favourite and I hope she wins. Anyone who has to battle cancer with a young child is a hero to me.
I want the toothy doctor to go, he is smugness personified. Did you see him patting the professional chef on the shoulder and winking at him?!
I thought she’d go a lot further! Seemed they put a lot on the canapés!I don’t like the comeback this series. I feel like they have an unfair advantage. Although I do like the woman, can’t remember her name but she had dark hair first time and is now blonde. Older lady.
Vera had a bad day but she could have won it. I think it was her only bad dish and I felt so bad for her. Didn’t one of the people judging say they would give her a job?
I do tend to get annoyed when someone wins by showing no variety in the food they cook, but it does tend to be when people try and do ‘classic French’ cookery that they trip themselves up.I’m really sad Haddy left, she should have stuck to her Gambian food!
I’m always slightly torn when people stick to one cuisine. I do understand the feedback that they’re not venturing outside of their comfort zone and not demonstrating understanding of different flavours and techniques… but I also see the flipside that if their aim is to have a career in food then they are likely to want to specialise in the cuisine they love most. What I find frustrating is when different criteria are used for the contestants, sometimes they get praised for sticking with what they know and sometimes they get pulled up for it.I do tend to get annoyed when someone wins by showing no variety in the food they cook, but it does tend to be when people try and do ‘classic French’ cookery that they trip themselves up.
I have to say I did find Hope’s downfall quite amusing. She’d clearly come with the plan of what she’d make in the invention test and couldn’t deviate from it even when it wasn’t working.
I was expecting that this evening - we have just gone straight to chefs table thing .Disappointed that they don't appear to be doing the mass catering task this series. Swear it's normally done by now
Me too.I really want Abi or Brin to win, but I think it will be Chris.
Not sure if everyone has caught up yet, but glad Mary has gone. She was starting to annoy me. Her pineapple dessert was far too simple compared to what the others did.
Plus, I didn’t like the whole comeback aspect.
Abi made one dish that looked like a starter, Chris made five dishes, all of them bigger than Abi’s one dish.I know he is a returner but I love Chris. He seems very kind and modest.
But wow Brin did well.
Brin always pulls it out if the bag. A bit rubbish on restaurant challenges (timings, burning things) but with his own recipes is just amazing. It’s hard to call between Brin and Chris! They are both very good!
Unfortunately the 2 girls were way behind the level of these 2!Brin always pulls it out if the bag. A bit rubbish on restaurant challenges (timings, burning things) but with his own recipes is just amazing.
I still think Chris *just* has the edge.
