I know kids clubs are there to stop the boredom setting in and to allow parents some time to themselves , I get that. Same with babysitters. Not for me personally but the service is available and that’s perfectly acceptable. But all day in kids club and home alone at night is a whole new level. It’s just so sad.

Maybe they couldn't get family to watch them ? from what I remember Kate's dad was in poor health and her mum looked after him and I think Gerry's mum worked for the BBC someone said .Getting people to look after 3 young kids is hard.

How many times in the past has the case suddenly appeared on the front pages from nowhere?I don't think they have any evidence ,that's the strange thing why bring it up now when this has been known for the past 3yrs. Wouldn't releasing all these details about this guy jeopardize any case they would have against him

I never remember hearing of any investigation taking place ,you'd think they'd be "on them" the minute they returned ,or is this where the PR team come in ?
It should have been flagged by the police as a safeguarding issue as soon at they stepped in. Surely they was involved to a certain extent.
Not too sure how it all works. Never been involved with SS. A family members a senior practitioner so only know bits and bobs.

Perverts, murderers and abusers have been around since Jesus was a lad. So, because as adults we know this - we take every single step possible to ensure our children don’t fall prey to them. The McCanns didn’t. They left their children for a nice meal. Alone and unprotected. I have taken my child on holidays, numerous times a year since he was 2 months old. We have NEVER left him, because it isn’t safe to do so. It’s not a mistake, they did it repeatedly. So, no it’s not their fault that these monsters exist but it is their fault that they allowed their daughter to be snatched by one so easily. Having said that, I don’t suppose for one minute that they have rested easy over that decision since. I hope they get answers. I hope her brother and sister get answers because I don’t think their childhoods can have been easy.
Don't know what was translated but I just watched the press conference in German. He (prosecutor) said "we are investigating against a 43 year old German because of suspicion of murder. We assume that the girl is dead"
