Just catching up on the second part of last night's ep. Inga really annoys me and seems to be involved in guy drama every episode.

I wish Miles would stfu because he brings nothing to the programme and whatever relationship he has with Maeva it's weird as hell.

I don't really know what to say about the antics on the last episode but I definitely wouldn't be marrying anybody that offered themselves to their ex, regardless of any outcome. Hard no.

Cringing for Ruby when it comes to miles. Cringing for any girls when they interact with Miles.

I think the problem with MIC now is that they are not a real group of friends. We hark back to the Caggie, Spencer, Louise, Binky days, I think, because they were a real group of friends who socialised outside of MIC. These days it feels too much like a bunch of actors who only come to life when the cameras roll. You can’t believe there is any drama with any girl taking Ruby’s Miles (He’s mine) when we know he hasn’t spoke to her since filming ended. The alliances we seem to like are the ones that are genuine friendships like Liv and Ollie who used to live together. I have heard old cast members saying the production crew would hype them up before a confrontation to increase the drama but at least there was real drama. Spencer did cheat on Louise and then their argument feels real. Listening to Emily and Harvey bicker about a photo is boring. It’s all gone a bit meh.

The storyline with Maeva and James is the fakest thing I’ve seen. She’s always on the verge of smiling at the most dramatic bits, even James does it at times. Dire.
I’ve seen little smiles peeking out at times, especially with Maeva, but I took it more as evidence that it’s just one big childish game to her and she is pleased that when she pushes buttons she gets a reaction. Literally thriving off the drama as she needs it for fuel. Weird.

“There comes a point when you just have to have some self respect” again Sam, duck off 😂😂😂
At least he did have the cop on to admit he has none himself 😂 it’s much easier to tell someone else how to handle their relationship than what you actually apply to yours, Sam is a great example of that. While none of the MIC relationships are great healthy examples, Zara cheated on Sam, that’s a line the other couples haven’t crossed yet and I don’t think I’d be able to take sams advice after all that, even though I think he does mean well and want the best for everyone.

James needs to leg it the f*ck away from maeva, she 100% just got bored and isn’t used to being stable and happy, she thinks toxicity = passion which must = how much someone loves and wants her and I don’t think that’s something she can change in herself without a lot of therapy. I can’t see herself settling with James until she’s more settled in herself.

Miles is an eejit a lot of the time and is really playing up to the bad boy stereotype but I do understand that maeva is always going to have a teeny bit of a hold on him and she puts him in difficult positions which then make him look terrible as a result. If anyone in actual real life did the things Maeva does there’s no way it would be tolerated, even if it is just for the show it’s utter madness. Dating the ‘love of your life’s’ best friend for two years and then going back to that ex to get revenge on this one and then somehow getting away with it..? I just can’t see that happening in the real world tbh 😂

Shut up, Julius. No one asked your opinion on 'Angus being single'. Why is he always in the middle of things that have nothing to do with him? I want him off my screen. I like that Robbie stood up for Paris and was not letting Julius try and control the conversation.

I truly wonder what Ruby's real voice sounds like? I had never heard such idiotic vocal fry since The Kardashians and Paris Hilton. At least Paris Hilton speaks more normal nowadays and her real voice is actually nice. The baby voice is not cute and it isn't going to work on Miles. I loved watching her fume because she is no match for Maeva. My ideal storyline would be Maeva just destroying her verbally and witch slapping her because she is just vile. Maeva mocking her voice was great and she was right that Ruby has nothing much going on upstairs. She's as deep as a puddle.

Ruby had to go running to Sophie and Julius to tattle tale on Miles and Maeva probably because she wants Sophie to put a stop to it and do her dirty work for her. Lol, okay I got my Ruby hate out for the week.

Harvey talks to Emily like she is a good guy friend. He does not respect her in my opinion. And often seems disinterested. Wtf was with that fist pound? It really gave off a 'bro' vibe. He is using her as a placeholder until someone he really wants comes along. I don't care for Emily but she deserves better. Everyone deserves to have a partner that actually cares.

I think Liv kind of wants Digby back. She admittedly feels tit for the way she treated him. It was silly of her to try and police Inga flirting with him when they have been over for two years and Liv herself has a history of getting with ex-boyfriends of her friends. Also, Liv, don't play dumb about Tristan and that Canadian girl. She still chose to sleep with him and again gets to put on the waterworks every time she fucks up just so she can be coddled yet again. The only victim in this is the Canadian girl who thought they were over and I am sure Liv had a pretty good idea of this too. Tristan will also act like a martyr and such a good guy because he cooked some pasta.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I do think that Miles is still in love with Maeva too. I think the way he got flustered and how his eyes went all big when she asked if 'he missed her' was not acting. Like it seems his mind was racing to catch up with what he was going to say so when he started to speak it just sounded all clumsy with the cringe laughing. They both just seem very difficult and will cause a lot of collateral damage to other people's lives before they decide to be serious with one another. They are the same, with leading questions and mind games. Miles just gets the most flack for being a bad boyfriend/annoying and full of himself/being the guy. But Maeva is his equal with all "say yes or no or I am leaving".

James needs to get some self-esteem and self-respect. He is a fool for taking her back after all the circling around Miles. If he was a girl, all the cast would say how 'weak' he is. Maeva probably saw all that money his family has flashing before her eyes and decided to pretend she was sorry. That was such a non-apology and he ate it up.

Great review.
Long time MIC watcher here but I don't really understand why Maeva and Miles ever broke up. They seemed well suited and there is clearly something still there for both of them.

Didn’t Maeva originally want miles back before James was ever on the scene? I could have swore that was how she originally arrived into the show and Miles in typical Miles fashion had zero interest because she was single and available. I feel they dabbled on again/off again but miles never fully committed. It’s just miles all over though, he just wants the drama of stolen glances and an inappropriate friendship that pisses off the boyfriend. Once you remove all that and there’s no obstacles he has zero interest. Case in point Ruby.

Also livs sudden interest in Digby is hilarious. Does anyone remember how horribly she treated him? She was awful. They lived together but I remember all her friends ie Harry Barron, Alex Mytton and whoever else has all these opinions on him and she would listen to them to stay in with the gang and treat him like tit. I remember Mytton (who she had slept with) picking her up for a night out with the boys - cos liv was one of the boys and not like the other girls - and being so rude to digby who had been told to stay at home because he was smothering liv. The whole thing was so embarrassing.

Maeva’s cracked. I think she’s bored and unfulfilled in many aspects of her life and James is just the scapegoat. Perhaps she is unhappy in her relationship but I have not doubt she’s also unhappy within herself.

How on earth did Miles manage a 3 year relationship with Maeva? Just how did they both hold it down?

It was probably 3 months. The length of every relationship gets hugely exaggerated to include the moment they were first in the same room as each other.

I still feel for Digby...she was vile to him and he did nothing wrong.

She was awful to him but I know she’ll try and retcon it as though it was mutual or they were loves young dream.

Yep. That's why I think she is so coddled. I am tired of her waterworks when she treats people like crap too but somehow finds a way to be a victim. Everyone from Sam, Alex, and Harry treated Digby horribly because he asked Liv to maybe not get drunk all the time on nights out and do questionable things if she is in a relationship. It is and was ridiculous how they made him out to be the bad guy. He is better off without her in a romantic sense. Hopefully, they just stay friends.

Totally agree with regards to Liv. She kept throwing unnecessary little digs at Inga what they dicuss her and Digby, it was obvious Liv still considers him off limits for some reason. Thankfully Digby seems to have realised he was treated badly!
