On TikTok there's a huge wave of blocking big celebrities who use their platforms for their income and vanity instead of using their large platforms to speak on important issues to stop them from gaining ad revenue.

I predict it starts with the big-name celebs and will trickle down to influencers very soon.

I’ve been to A LOT of events like this as audience filler in a past life, but they never red carpeted us (obvs, because I’m just a fucking staple) but maybe they are thinking instead of just filling the gaps with normos through the back door, get some low rent influencers, let them walk the red carpet after all the important people have, and get more exposure because they’ll spam the fuck out of it on their socials?

And they probably made the influencers buy their tickets

She seems to forget the best society magazine we have is Tatler . Hello magazine used to be very good at reporting society things, much less tongue in cheek than Tatler can be.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the lady is full of adverts for sabbath stair lifts, orthopedic foot things, incontinance pads, care homes, it has a large classifieds section where people can advertise for carers /housekeepers and Nannie’s. There is a dating section full of weary old (think 80/90yrs old) men looking for women and weird listings from men who want paid or unpaid male escort (s£x workers) .. to ladies of a certain type who blatantly advertise for “an older man with an estate for a relationship”…..

It’s weary!.

They tried to give it a facelift and hired some younger staff some years back but it hasn’t worked . There is an hilarious documentary out there which shows the goings on at The Lady magazine hq .

Boris Johnson’s sister was brought in to revamp it and she described the task as “the challenge of her life” . She described the lady HQ as being like “an undertakers office” .

The programme worth a watch before anyone orders a subscription to it ! Don’t do it

the stripey bag was full of day to day crap it had Lydia’s essentials in and Carrie had her boots in there, they looked like Fairfax favor , could she be the same size as Lydia and Lydia has got her a free pair?? The boots were dirty after a wet day … I saw a black padded long coat stuffed in there which I think is carries . The shopping basket at daylesford is dark grey and plain it was held behind the stripey bag , Lydia is putting a sourdough white loaf in (not seeded!) .

they went and got another basket in the end.

she shopped the wines, tinned cocktails, juice bar , bakery, (isn’t Lydia supposed to be gluten free? Sourdough isn’t gluten free?) , the tea isle .

they ignored the deli with salads , the meat and fish counters. I would have thought it’s a good opportunity to get some organic pre made healthy salads , fish and grass fed organic meats …. Obviously I’m wrong !!

Because Mr Boo Font has been neglecting travelling he hasn t spent much time at home with his bees, he says his bees left their hive so he has re-homed them in another. He spoke about too many queens in the hive. All sounds very odd to me but I know nothing about bees. I believe his first hive contained angry bees, which he never did anything to alleviate. Yes, living close to daylesford Kingham , oddington out that way is more ideal and very pricey.

For cheaper ££££ where Josie is brailes - anything heading more towards Banbury is less ££££ some of the CV postcodes fall just within Cotswolds and are less £££ (heading towards the Stratford direction ).

I think the closest you can get for less £££ would be a carefully picked cv postcode which is maybe 15 mins ish from daylesford or 25 mins away brailes and around there . Both fall just within the start of the Cotswolds . Or she could go 45 mins away and be cheaper again but that’s a pain if planning to go regularly to daylesford soho . Ideally imo a place needs to be no more than 20 mins away or it becomes offputting to go . Josie even said she wishes she had gone closer to Moreton in marsh area . She’s 25 mins away.

I’d avoid bourton on the water - full of tourists, shops aimed at tourists and the two times I’ve eaten there the food was dire !

Tetbury is very quaint - and has a moloh store . It’s a bit less £££ there and very nice but a drag to daylesford

If she did move let’s say to Kingham (don’t think they would be happy with what the money might buy so probs not but if she did) then she could take a 2 hr 38 train to London and drink herself into a stupor or she could drive 30 mins and go from Banbury like you suggest and take the 1 hr 30 train saving 38 mins ….

It’s not in the Cotswolds but being as so many influencers go I’d mention Bicester … I accidentally ended up in Bicester town centre when I drove there for the first time and OMG!!!! It’s pretty downmarket …. I finally found the out of town shopping place which is lovely , really nicely done . The town itself was a shock!

I’d bet a lot on Lydia having checked out marlow /henley too! It just hasn’t got daylesford and soho …. But I’m sure she will of looked after discovering Leo . Marlow imo is pricier than most of the Cotswolds due to it being nice and also close to London

I have seen Josie getting the train at Banbury a few times, takes around an hour and twenty to get into Marylebone!
