The Everlane stories she's done seem a lot more "ad-like" than the type of sponcon she usually does. Made me realise she is usually really good at making ads sound like they're in her "voice" and not written by a PR person.

Years ago I worked on a shoot Lucy was involved in, Lucy was still calling herself a fashion editor back then and said how difficult it was for her because she didn’t go to private school or have a fashion background.
At the time I didn’t think anything of it until I found out Lucy was dating a mutual acquaintance and it came to light that Lucy is rich courtesy of her parents. I’m sure IG/blogging is just a play thing for Lucy, or so her parents don’t have to say she’s unemployed.
Also when they split Lucy posted not so indirect IG stories about toxic relationships when in reality in was quite different, his photography helped her blog/IG become successful, she was smitten with him and expecting a ring.
Does anyone know where her parents wealth comes from? I know their house, or the farm as Lucy calls it, is in a small village in Shropshire.

Hey, just seeing this thread and I am a bit curious as I've followed Lucy for a while but never caught any of this! Where did she mention that she is keeping both the old flat and the house? And also @Artaud, I must admit that I have completely bought the fashion editor all along...is this actually not true? My influenced world is shook!
Her ex was involved with So It Goes magazine, wasn’t he? In her early blogging days he seemed to play a big role supporting her, did all of her photography etc. Not sure why they broke up but it was around the time her other posh mates were getting engaged.
I am genuinely shocked if she didn’t go to a private school because some of her oldest friends all went to private schools. Maybe she went to a grammar because I can’t imagine her in a local comprehensive

i actually feel really bad for her about the moustache situation. It must massively knock your confidence and there is no quick fix. Plus her job is literally posting pictures of herself everyday.
she hasn’t mentioned it as such but the fact she’s still living in the flat while all the building works are being done implies she didn’t need to sell it to buy the house, and therefore now probably won’t but will likely rent it or keep it.
Im shocked she didn’t go to private school as had been certain she did - she moves in similar circles to me and I’ve been on hen do’s with her friends who were all privately educated. Im sure some of them said they were her school friends, from boarding school if I remember correctly.
I think she was a day student at a boarding school near Shropshire (?), her sister who married a Cadbury also studied there.

I do remember her traveling with the ex to LA, and she'd put out a call for someone to photograph her. It seemed like she was left to her own devices, and walked by herself for miles to reach a lunch meeting. The last work trip together he was being a total tit, ( I read between the lines - he refused to help with the driving, he recorded her at a restaurant prattling away). I'm embarrassed I remember so much. Anyway, they did visit very remote exotic locations, it seemed like she had to travel alone a lot. I would have been terrified.

excellent memory! I do remember he was awful to her and she very much implied it after their break up. Jamie was very good looking but a bit of a tit by all accounts (above said school acquaintances). She desperately wanted a ring and commitment & did a lot for him, while he walked all over her was the impression I got. They did go on some amazing trips together - that Cuixmala one being one, and lots of LA jaunts! I think he founded So it goes magazine and is still the editor

Think she had commented something like "I'm such a dork
" on the photo that was meant to represent "reality". It was so dumb and falsely self deprecating it made the rounds on twitter but I can't find it now. being friends with an influencer must be tough at times. I just think the nature of the ‘job’ must make you so self obsessed, it can’t be much fun socialising with that person.
