potentially part of being a first time mum and potentially just part of wanting to utilise elements of parenting that she feels are important? I’m not sure if you’re implying that an ‘Earth Mother’ wouldn’t be happy to leave their child in the care of others, but I’m pretty sure you can be both if you wish.

Aw bless him, it's so tricky isn't it! My parents had met my baby like twice before lockdown was announced and now things are easing I'm trying to get her used to people but she seems so warey because it had just been me and my husband with just her for so long. Makes me sad really as I want her to make connections with her family but it's a slow progress!!!
My little boy is 11 months on 31st July & this is also him! Was so confident before lockdown.
I could have wrote this! My 2nd baby was born in February and due to lockdown he can be quite strange with people and gets overwhelmed quite easily! I’ve not left him with anyone yet and don’t think I will be for a long time! The thing is I don’t even want to. He’s my last and I’m loving all the babyness!As I've said before, Roman must be an easy baby..... Seems to go down to sleep no problem, can be left with someone for the length of a meal, and seems really easy going. I have a baby 5 days younger than Roman and I wouldn't be able to leave her for a couple of hours yet... because of COVID she struggles with people she doesn't know, gets easily overtired and so can cry a lot. So for all her 'im so tired/I got up at 4am' she should count herself bloody lucky she can do easily go out for dinner whenever she wants!
Omg yes, I had a baby turn 1 on first day of lockdown, she was meant to start nursery that week. Now she’s the clingiest nightmare, terrified of everyone. I’m dreading when she starts nursery, whereas before I was not worried at all!
Oh no I hoped she wasn’t going for that, I guess she wouldn’t make much money otherwise if she told people to see to them, get them back off to sleep and carry on

I agree, I'm enjoying all the babyness as it will go so quickly and I don't think I will leave her for a while just yet, there will be time for that but you can't get back the baby time!!
No not at all. I just think she’s trying to be too much for the sake of results with bump and it’s fake. I breastfed my children and there’s not actually a day that goes past where she’s doesn’t talk about it... Is she really going to be like this for 1 year +?

Yes this is so boring when people turn in to 1 dimensional mothers with nothing else going for them.I think I am going to have to unfollow her. At first I thought she was finding a good balance between her old style content and being a new mum but now everything is relating to babies (Can you tell I don’t have kids lol!)

This 100% my son is a week older than Lucy’s and I couldn’t leave him with anyone as he constantly looks for me as I have been with him during lockdown and he hasn’t seen any other family than my husband. I know for a fact he would cry constantly so date nights will be a long time away for us lol but I don’t mind as baby comes first. plus her moaning of lack of sleep does annoy me as most parents are tired it’s sort of the norm and babies wake up during the night of early it’s what they do. I thought this too - she’s supposedly lost 4 stone and yet she’s still wearing size 12 jeans? Something doesn’t quite add up there, I still don’t think she was big enough to lose 4 stone to begin with
I thought that!! 4 stone?? She didn't look it at all, and to only be in size 12s? I had my son a week before Roman. I used to be a size 10 around 10 stone and I gained 2 and a half stone and went up to a size 14, im still a size 14 but lost a stone. No way she gained 4 stone.
