That just gave me a penny drop. I could’ve almost given her the benefit of the doubt about being slow to find the camera- our ward camera is only used for complex wound plans so there’s every chance it would be boxed away/not charged. But their camera would have been used all the time for the babies’ progress diaries they make for the parents. It would’ve been easy to fetch it in time. It’s striking to me how many of her actions could be explained away/seem plausible if you didn’t scratch the surface, or like me are unfamiliar with NICU. I think that’s one of the reasons we see so many people who can’t quite grasp how damning the evidence is when you actually know what you’re looking for- at.

This is what I don’t get about why people think she’s so nice! I don’t think she comes across as nice at all!
She puts the gentle and soft act on which tricks your brain into thinking she’s nice
But look at her texts, she’s so bleepin witchy, always moaning, hounding her colleagues about the deaths which were no doubt absolutely traumatising, constantly talking about the parents as well
Even without the killing babies she’s an unlikeable b
I just look forward to the news articles that inevitably come whether it be weeks, months or years that someone has battered her and i just hope they show absolutely no mercy

Lots of people I work with regularly pick up overtime. Many of us work agency shifts in our AL. It's so short staffed and shifts are always available. I dropped to 22 hours and easily work over full time hours with bank shifts.You’ll find lots of nurses (ahem) do overtime to help the team and ensure a safe pt ratio/that they’re seen. It doesn’t make them (me) a yes girl, an a kisser or eager to please. Just felt that needed to be said. Jesus, I can’t win in this job! If I don’t put in the hours patients suffer, if I do then I’m a manipulative psychopathic murderer
She was never off her phone, including whilst on duty. Why is this allowed? In the majority of workplaces it wouldn’t be tolerated.
Only recently when visiting a relative in hospital I had to patiently wait at the desk for several minutes at least before the nurse sitting there reluctantly - and rather resentfully- peeled her eyes from the phone. Bad enough on a normal ward but on a baby ward as in LL’s case, inexcusable.
The rule - as per most other workplaces- should surely be personal phones should be switched off or in lockers whilst working (unless a compelling reason why they shouldn’t be).

The list is common to men's and women's prisons. In men's prisons it has finally come to the attention of authorities that since consensual sex happens perhaps it's best to ensure that STIs, Hep and HIV aren't being spread rampantly.

An IQ test only determines a very specific type of intelligence, usually mathematical/linguistic. I know becuase I am a member of Mensa and I still dont believe that makes me anything other than good at IQ tests.
But LL does have a degree, various nursing courses and as you say was very articulate. She was consistently able to fool a lot of people, some very senior, for a number of years. Hardly the behaviour of a 'dumb' person.
Lacking creativity doesn't make her stupid. Knowing she is actually guilty there are very few feasable explanations you could come up with without them being easily disproven in court. Whatever explanation she had, would have to be part of her defense case so if it wasnt air-tight it wouldn't have held well in court. A million trolls coming up with some made up stories doesn't make them smarter than her. They didn't have to prove those stories in court.
An intelligent person can make dumb decisions too. I am sure you have like I have. My point was that her worst decisions were due to her narcissism, and not because she was really stupid.
A judge referring to her intelligence on sentencing her, after months and months of watching her in court is a good parameter to establishing she must have had some wits.
In addition, various psychiatrists have alluded to her possibly being a narcissist. That of course is in the absence of a formal evaluation, but you only have to see her general behaviour and demeanor in interviews and court to know there must be some truth in that.
Why does that sound rude?! Or like some sort of mathematical law!

It’s not the only one she did- was talking to a friend about the case and they knew a parent who’s little one was in COCH neonatal. Who made their older child a birthday card from the baby?
Knew a guy at work once who was ALWAYS signing up for overtime. Turns out - and we didn’t find this out until years later - that he was just doing it for the money all along
I listened to the latest podcast with Dr Gibbs. What a lovely, genuine levelheaded man he is. He didn’t shy away from admitting what they could have done differently. I thought he was very fair, if not generous, on when he thought management should have acted. I really ‘enjoyed’ listening to him. (I don’t like saying enjoy as none of this subject matter is enjoyable but in terms of hearing things straight and in a kind manner).

There must be something seriously wrong with the way she thinks. In order to kill baby after baby and witness the heartbreak of the families and then go in the next day bright and breezy and attack again. Anyone with a conscience just couldn't do it. I watched a Trevor Mcdonald serial killer documentary where he interviewed a murderer he said he could kill in the afternoon and it wouldn't bother him and he could go out for a meal in the evening and relax. When Trevor asked about remorse and guilt he said he doesn't have that part of his brain and he thinks he's in the right place (prison).
