@Cack_Conroe Have you watched the Operation Hummingbird program yet? Was interesting seeing the detectives that were in court when we were there talking about the investigation

I have watched the first part of it, they must have been so confident that she was going to be found guilty to make this documentary themselves. It has been interesting to hear the work that went into it all.

There's no chance of me recognising anyone, I never remember faces!

I could go on forever. But the most important thing is -

She’ll not live a day of her life without serious mental anguish and suffering knowing all this. That’s a far better punishment than death ever could be.

How long was she in the admin role before sacked or arrested?
When she was arrested she mentioned her knee, so would have been off sick a bit too, wonder if op was at Chester, poor staff having to look after her knowing what she done.

Angrily confronted anyone who failed to attend every day of their daughter’s defence. Wow. I wonder if that’s why Janet Cox was seen crying. Not that I have any sympathy.

Wow when was Janet seen cryiing, her tears should be saved for the parents she sat through all the evidence yet still believes she’s innocent

Karen Rees does not come out well in that article, she would have been better not speaking to the press. Instead she says that on hearing the death rate on NNU was through the roof her response was to befriend Lucy and judge her innocent based on her emotional reaction.

I’ve been reading these threads but haven’t posted yet. This is how I feel she looks in her arrest photo/mugshot. To me, I don’t see the same hardened criminal expression that so many other killers have in their mugshots but I think she looks resigned to the fact it’s over and her “fun” has been stopped.
it’s awful that she was able to kill once and get away with it, let alone continue for so long. Those poor babies and families.

Agree. She didn’t cry when they stood there going through all the many charges against her for the worst crimes imaginable. She was emotionless. Imo in the photos where she’s coming out the police station in a Lee cooper hoody after being interviewed for hours and hours about baby deaths, she is trying not to smirk at the cameras. She’s certainly not distressed.
At some point during those interviews, she’s supposed to have learnt for the first time that babies were poisoned. If not by her then by a colleague. She should have been totally distressed both because of the implications for her as an apparently innocent woman and that one of her colleagues was murderous. Of course that didn’t happen!

You’ll find lots of nurses (ahem) do overtime to help the team and ensure a safe pt ratio/that they’re seen. It doesn’t make them (me) a yes girl, an a kisser or eager to please. Just felt that needed to be said. Jesus, I can’t win in this job! If I don’t put in the hours patients suffer, if I do then I’m a manipulative psychopathic murderer

I meant combined with her manipulation, the determination to make herself seem indispensable to them, to win them over to being coffee shop friends with her, and obviously the Boofle diary and kitten heels.

Can we talk about Lucifer's artistic talents in creating this creepy card? Looks like it was dreamt up by an uninspired 8 year old. I particularly like the design choice of the decorative scribbles around the outside of the heart.

It is a valid observation for Lucy. She wasn’t doing all those extra shifts out of the goodness of her heart, because she wanted to help a busy unit look after sick babies, was she?

It can’t be used as a valid piece of evidence otherwise god knows how many times I would be nicked as an EoL nurse. But in the context with holistic evidence and a now guilty verdict, sure. But stating someone is an a licker for doing extra shifts is what irritated tbh.

Why are you taking it so personally? It’s an observation on Lucy’s actions and intentions. It’s got nothing to do with you or anyone else who works overtime.

Some people in the work place are a lickers, I’m sure we’ve all come across them at some point. 99.999% of them won’t be murderers. Observing Lucy was probably an a licker to help cover her crimes does not mean all a lickers must be murderers too.

Honestly I find it so frustrating that people take comments made about Lucy and apply it to themselves and then try to defend it. It’s unnecessary. Lucy will have used typical behaviours to mask her crimes but with different intentions. Commenting on it is nothing personal or suggestive towards someone who displays the same behaviour but has good intentions.

“Nice Lucy” that thought she was better than everybody around her, spent her whole day slagging people in texts instead of doing her job and sneered at anybody she thought below her. Her face didn’t fit because A) it’s bleeping huge and B) she was an absolute weird little covert narcissistic witch.
