I’ve been following this (obsessively) and had a little cry today when I read the verdict. I’d been so worried it was looking like it’d be a hung jury. Having to stay away from Mumsnet as there’s a few LL apologists on there that can’t take a day off out of respect to the families, on today of all days.

Sorry if already discussed. I understand that as she didn't plead guilty there were no psychiatric reports made. Will this now be ordered? I don't have any knowledge of how these things work.
I don’t think they would in relation to the trial, but they may as a part of her imprisonment process. It’s for so long that I imagine it’ll be quite a procedure.
I guess now she’s found guilty they might get extra psychological evidence for the next investigation though?

She’s been indulged her whole life, treated like a golden egg and in turn she’s managed to alter her personality, vulnerable, innocent, sweet and harmless in order to fly under the radar. I know exactly what she is, I knew one, I was friends with one and I know the lengths they go to. They are ALWAYS the victim

I really do feel horribly sorry for the jurors now, esp after hearing some were crying when unable to reach a verdict on some cases. How painful and awful for them. They’ve done their service. ❤
Unless the cryer was the person who voted no guilty for the majority of verdicts.

I’ll see what organization peeps here suggest- I don’t have kiddos so not sure what is out there or who would be best! Maybe someone who has had preemies or poorly kids can recommend somewhere that helped them?
Bliss and Tommy’s are the two that spring to mind x

In a heartfelt moment I do have to say I feel so sorry for her parents. Before anyone comes for me let me say it is dwarfed by the sadness I feel for the babies and their parents. But your child who you’ve never seen that side of is now one of the most awful baby killers. It’s hard not to feel some sympathy for them as well. …it’s like when serial killers are caught, hiding in plain sight and often a huge shock to family. BTK’s daughter speaks about the awful guilt of not knowing What her Dad did.
id imagine LL’s parents will never reach a point of believing in her guilt.

Her diagnosis of optic neuritis is potentially interesting. I’d love to see a scan of her brain. I’m sure it would have had to be done during evaluation to rule out something organic.
Can optic neuritis be related to a brain condition? I'm a bit thick when it comes to medical stuff

Can someone show me where her mum said “I done it” or whatever she said, I can’t find it?
I am kind of curious to know what her parents are like on film, because her mother sounds really questionable and the family dynamic pretty odd.

Surely she can’t? She’s been convicted of murder, it’s an open and shut case, as any criminal conviction is.
You’re allowed a defence in NMC hearings, it’s like court, but it’ll likely be that she’s struck off for bringing the profession into disrepute by virtue of the fact she has multiple murder convictions.

Omg just looked at the time - last time I checked it was about 1pm, thought maybe an hour had passed. I haven’t moved for 3 hours, literally just been sat in front of the news switching tabs and refreshing on my phone and posting on here.
