Can optic neuritis be related to a brain condition? I'm a bit thick when it comes to medical stuff
Ah… I’m really only thinking out loud. It certainly doesn’t make you a murdering bleep. A lot of times in young women with MS, optic neuritis can be the first presenting symptom. After that, it can be a sign of potentially some brain inflammation, infection (herpes/CMV). Often though it’s transient and goes away with steroids.

She would have been evaluated with brain scans when she was diagnosed with ON to see if it was a symptom of a larger diagnosis, so I think we would have heard of it was anything more.

Also, as part of a psych evaluation to stand trial she would almost certainly have undergone this kind of testing to outrule brain lesions or any organic cause. Usually once physical testing comes back negative then it’s a clear psychiatric diagnosis of sociopath/psychopath or whatever she is.

I suppose I was just thinking out loud. I probably shouldn’t. Id still like to see her scans though.

Really hope it's a WLO too. If Wayne cozens got one because he was breach of his duty then I hope she would get one too. There's more victims and they were all innocent little babies who didn't stand a chance against her.
Definitely deserves the WLO in my opinion. Her victims were the most vulnerable you could imagine and she was in a position of complete trust. She even did that extra training to get put with the sickest babies. It was devious and premeditated. And all that balls with the memory boxes further invading the babies privacy in my opinion. Exploiting the grieving parents. Absolutely sick. I hope she rots.

The parents on sky news said that one of her colleagues was saying to her during her child’s resus that she hadn’t done anything, so her colleagues must have known full well that there was a notion of a murderer on the ward
Yep exactly - just heard that.

Anyone else feeling more sorrow than joy? Obviously I’m SO happy she’s getting punished for her acts but also nothing will bring those babies back. As much as we all knew she did it, deep down I just wanted it to be a huge misunderstanding, as I’m sure a bunch of you guys did too. She did this, she took those babies from this earth and left devastation in her wake. Just feels so much more real.
yes I agree. I can’t celebrate as there’s no bringing those babies back or heartache for the parents. Closure is the only positive

Does a 10-1 majority mean a juror was in the not guilty camp? Surely not even though I know everyone is entitled to their opinion it's still a wtf moment

Sorry and at work and not keeping up with the thread...

Am I right in thinking she not only is not attending in-person on Monday, but she has asked not to appear via video link from prison on Monday for sentencing?
Yep! So the families can't address their victim impact statements to her. Coward.

Omg just looked at the time - last time I checked it was about 1pm, thought maybe an hour had passed. I haven’t moved for 3 hours, literally just been sat in front of the news switching tabs and refreshing on my phone and posting on here.
I forgot to have lunch and my phone battery got down to 5% so I had to eventually move!

TV off now though and just reading on here.

Feel oddly disjointed from this now it's everywhere.

Having had a critically ill baby in NICU this is absolutely heartbreaking. I hope every day and night is unbearable where she's off to now and she gets what is coming to her.

Fingers crossed for a re trial for the cases that couldn't reach a verdict today.

I find it a bit odd that they agreed unanimous on some verdicts but majority on others. That is assuming it is the same juror each time.

I totally agree, I hope someone knows him and leaks his name.
I'm sure you'll only get a fine or a little stint in nick...not too bad really
Do we get to choose the Nick?

*awaits angry Della*

i just struggle to grasp how if you think she’s guilty on some you seriously think she didn’t do the rest🤔

Why can’t they force her by video link at least? Should drag her there kicking and screaming
