It’s very interesting to hear how other hospitals deal with things like this tbh, where I worked it was a lot more relaxed and depended which ward, how much you were stealing, how often you did it and what it was that you were taking tbh. A packet of antibiotics going missing or a couple of packets of paracetamol wouldn’t raise suspicion at all but we had a nurse who was stealing dihydrocodeine and that led to police being called in the end.
Exactly, I always have nurofen lysine for period pain in my work backpack ¶cetamol for headache.
I wouldn't dare to take medication from work even with the worst pain so that's why I always have my own.
Just wondering, if defence don’t agree with what a parent says they witnessed (for example woman who walked in on baby bleeding) would they then have to take the stand ?
I’m unsure but the evidence put forward today was agreed with by both the prosecution and the defence as they said the defence had added extra information.
Ooh good question. I think the events for the baby who was found bleeding will be disputed...
I did wonder whether maybe they had these charges as the first group and the operation hummingbird would put together another set maybe on a different ward or hospital? So as to protect themselves that if she is found NG, but they truly believe she is guilty, they can have another go at a different set of charges?
That's what I'd do if I genuinely whole heartedly believed someone was guilty, have a back up in case they got away with the first one.
Legal people, how does this work? Would these charges be grouped together and charged collectively as one because of the fact they were all in the same place? I'm not sure how multiple charges work?
Just horrific that there's potentiallt even more families unknowingly going to have to go through this once operation hummingbird starts (whether it's LL or not).
yes I thought that too, if it is true that would be an awful thing for that babies mam to have to go through I wouldn’t be able to keep quiet. I think someone posted on this thread and said they had worked in NICU and never experienced blood as described. I also read she failed to put in the notes about the massive amount of blood loss, which you would think would be significant.

These murders/attempted murders all happened in fairly quick succession, surely any from earlier would have too so would fit into this pattern?

someone found the job advert on a previous thread. Think it was a detective to join for 3 years. I think people are saying there could be more that were committed at an earlier date over a longer length of time and when she realised she got away with it she then got hooked.

Interesting that temp is one of the causes and the baby mentioned today there was no record of temp on their med notes

It’s been quite a slow reporting day so I’ve been able to add a prosecution evidence section to child a and b and will add key evidence. So I’ve put up the family statements and what we have so far for the timeline.
It actually doesn’t take very long to do now the bulk of the wiki is already set up as it’s just copy and paste. And I’m reading the updates daily at the moment anyway.
Also with being twins there is sone crossover so the family statements are the same in both child a and b sections.

Yea it said it wasn’t recorded at other hours either. So before LL would have taken over.

I’ve noticed when doing the wiki that the prosecution have more than two medical experts. I don’t know all of their roles and they aren’t all mentioned for each baby. This feels quite extensive though.

I agree this person does need reporting to the NMC. Absolutely shocking how some people can abuse their ‘power’ entitled doesn’t even cut it!
Medical evidence, hard to get a handle on if you have no experience. It will take a dedicated, conscientious juror to grasp fully imo. The trial is so emotive, and we by nature are emotional beings. It truly calls for open mindedness and objectivity. A big ask.
