Letby is asked about another series of searches for three parents' names.

LL: "They are babies that had something significant to them and they were on my mind."

Letby is asked why she didn't give that answer to the police.

LL: "Because I couldn't recall why I had looked at some of them."
Only just noticed this and the wording! Some of them?? She only gave the excuse of checking on a surviving twin in police interview. So that’s one excuse for two parents in the searches. And it’s a pathetic one that only exposes that you had no reason to search for the vast majority of the others. Explains nothing about why you’re checking them when they are actually still on the bleeping unit or why you do it practically monthly, often in the middle of the night and on Christmas bleeping day. Sicko.

This!

I imagine they are also pretty angry with those who allowed LL to continue working once the concern had been raised. Those who failed to protect those babies from her are just as culpable. IMO

I'm with you. I have found this week to be one of the hardest. I hope everyone here is able to take a step back and enjoy their weekend ❤ Sending a virtual hug to everyone.
That's a good point about the management and their failings. They should be punished too

I am 100% convinced now that there is no way there will a unanimous or majority ‘not guilty’ verdict.

I’m really hoping for a very quick unanimous verdict. but hopefully the worse case is a longer deliberation resulting in a 10-2 majority.

however my slight worry is if there are too many of the scapegoat type believers or those that feel it’s too big a decision to lock someone up for life (tbh those people shouldn’t be allowed on a jury) and my worry is they just can’t agree a majority. And ends up being a hung jury. Oh god can you imagine 😭 If the statistics across these forums and social media are to go by then hopefully the jury are a similar reflection of the majority sensible critical thinking people following the case. But there is a slight worry there.

I always imagined Dr NoName as a geeky man that was making a connection with another geeky socially awkward person, didn’t see the marriage thing coming!
I can’t believe people were shocked he was married I always thought’s he was that’s why they can’t name him

Hopefully it's a quick and easy decision for G. Watching from a distance it's clear to see, so hopefully the jurors are even more convinced of her guilt.

Apologies for my top typo, sometimes my screen jumps about/changes format whilst I'm typing

Why won't they identify Noname when other doctors have been named?

We will be toasting her conviction before you know it Queen @Tofino 🥂
I’ve got two major things wrong on this trial that I am very very happy to have been wrong on.
1) I was absolutely convinced she wouldn’t take the stand because it would be so so bleeping stupid to do so. Thank you Letby hun 👌🏻
2) I was totally sure that Beige Knickers and Dr FloppyCock-ington had zero chemistry and were nothing more than penpals. Delighted to see she’s a little swank that was happy to duck up a marriage and family but not only that, she has lied to the jury about it and they’ll now not trust a word she says.

I’m hopeful that I’ll have a hat trick and be wrong in my total conviction that Benny Boy would have experts! The “may have” more defence from the judge today was very interesting!

Then after those corkers… my streak will be over and Lucy Letby will be sent down on a whole life tariff 🥂🥳

We're not shocked by the fact he's married, although nobody knew for certain, most of us guessed. We are shocked that after such a long trial where he's been fairly protected and even BNE has referred to him as 'boyfriend' until he dropped the bombshell today! So the shock isn't that he's married, it's that they said it in court 🙂

hmmm but it was actually LL that said it. Felt like she was once again revelling in the moment to me. Urgh.

I'm thinking it'll be a quick guilty decision. They go in for deliberations, make a brew, all decide guilty and say might as well finish our brew before we go back out there.
Can but hope!

You’ve made a very very good point here. She was searching a parent from Liverpool women’s from her training, I think she did that search in 2015 or 2016 but had trained at LWH years before. She thinks it’s a get out clause to say “itS NaTUraL bEhaViouR” for me but think about it. Like she says, she’s treated hundreds and hundreds. So how on Earth does she remember the names of parents from that long ago. And it’s not cos they’re significant? It’s just who’s on her mind apparently. She is able to do it because she has their names to hand. She rifles through. She will remember things she did. She will get a kick out of it.
And the handover sheet in the rose embossed keep safe box from her first day as a student nurse has to be pretty significant right?

I know in prison her post would get looked at before it’s given to her, but are there any safeguards in place to prevent her from sending letters to people who don’t want them?

Could fully see her writing her demented notes to the poor families and noname once she’s bored in prison and looking for a way to relive her horrific crimes
