Oooof! Catching up and I almost spat my coffee out. She’s at it again. So Dr J’s very vivid memory of this event is simply incorrect too:

Letby denies being at the cotside when Dr Jayaram entered room 1, and says she does not recall any conversation with Dr Jayaram that night.

Wow wow wow.

I think it goes back to what @OldBlondie has just said. The medical experts are going by the evidence so yes the defence experts they call will likely agree the prosecution experts findings are plausible and possible. But it’s likely they’ll push that another explanation is also plausible but it’s I guess then it rests with the jury then to settle on who they agree with. I’m more interested in the explanation for the insulin cases by defence experts. I think if they can introduce doubt there then they might be onto something. HOWEVER, if her being on the stand is anything to go by, I’m not holding out much hope for the experts called

So she had admitted here in police interview that she was with the baby but today said this didn’t happen? Have I got that right??

In police interview, when Dr Jayaram's account was put to her, she said no concerns had been raised at the time.

She said the alarm had not sounded. She said Child K was sedated and had not been moving around.

She also did not recall either any significant fall in saturations or there being no alarm. She accepted that in the circumstances described by Dr Jayaram she would have expected the alarm to have sounded.

she denied dislodging the tube and said she would have summoned help had Dr Jayaram not arrived, saying she was "possibly waiting to see if she self-corrected, we don’t normally intervene straight away if they weren’t dangerously low".

Reading the comments on Reddit everyone thinks the female scientist Richard is referring to is the aggravating south one from Reddit. Too much of a coincidence.

Richard is the stats guy that co-wrote a report about issues with statistics and healthcare killers. He said at the start of the trial he had sent the report to both prosecution and defence. Sounds like both him and the scientist are being ignored by the defence, which says a lot really.

So now we've got two dickheads out of their expertise.

Richard Gill doesn't realise that this case does not hinge on statistical probability, which is his area of expertise and his involvement in de Berk. The prosecution has not offered a 'the chances of LL being the only person on shift for all of these events is ........'. They have simply said she's the only person on shift for all the events. There is no miscalculated p-value involved.

And the 'molecular biologist' is likely some daft 1st year biomed student playing big balls.

yes he co-wrote a report on problems with statistics and healthcare killers. He said around the start of the trial he had sent the report to both prosecution and defence. He harps on about confirmation bias when all he’s doing is showing his own.

I have looked at his twitter, and I have come to the conclusion that this guy is an advanced level clout chaser.
He wants his paper to be the thing which gets LL off and he wants fame for it.

This in itself is a huge lie from her. Oxygen saturations in the 80’s range of anybody that is intubated is dangerously low. There is no way you would stand there waiting to see if they ‘self correct’. That’s absolute bull. The alarm didn’t sound cos she must have had it silenced. Sats of 80’s is a crash call and immediate intervention. She should have been calling for help, pressing alarms and giving the baby immediate rescue breaths. The fact she didn’t act here is nothing but sinister, IMHO.

ETA: I meant sats in the 80s of an intubated patient is a crash call… there are other reasons that are less exciting for it but in a baby with potentially dislodged ETT, you would be jumping to action, not watching them deteriorate in silence. It’s sickening even thinking about it to be honest. Evil.

OMG what a contradiction. I hope the prosecution are as "on the ball" as everyone on here and picking up on all this stuff as there's mountains of it.

And that is exactly why, all of a sudden.. it never happened. The whole scenario now never happened. She’s a liar.

How big is this bus? It seems to have the entire unit under it along with some independent experts. May as well chuck the pathologists and radiographers under there as well.
