See I disagree, I think for the reasons you stated above is why we can absolutely make allowances for why the doctors and staff at the hospital didn’t take the readings further at the time. And can rule out negligence on their part. They wouldn’t have necessarily understood the results or connected the dots because it is a confusing science. However, an expert and specialist in the subject area would absolutely be able to interpret them without any doubt. If what we are suggesting is correct, I assuming the prosecution will call someone to give evidence concerning the readings and clarify what they mean one way or another.

In the BA case, the doctors didn’t understand the results but a specialist they brought in could and was what kick started the proper investigation and made them realise that they were dealing with a SK.

(My musing’s now and not necessarily in reply to you)

The part I was struggling to understand though, was the difference between one of BAs victims insulin levels and baby F’s. BA’s victims levels were in the tens of thousands but baby F’s were in the thousands (still high but comparably much much lower). So if you compare them perhaps there is some sort of doubt, BA’s victim there was no doubt. I was scratching my head about it tbh. I know Letby could have given the most tiny amount but it still didn’t make much sense to me. Why would she ? If she wanted to murder baby F. However, we know that insulin has a short detection life and is broken down by the liver quite quickly. BA’s victim was administered an adult syringe full all at once! Letbys alleged victim was drip fed the insulin over a prolonged period of time. So I am thinking because baby F wasn’t given insulin in one single shot the levels wouldn’t be comparable to BA’s victim. Very clever really if is she indeed guilty
Excellent thoughts, add that in with the poster above saying about going off to salsa knowing she’s slowly killing a baby and excitedly getting updates. So calculating and so devious, and so unbelievably chilling 😩

Is mmmb777 the same guy on the Facebook groups who spreadsheets everything? I must say, that takes dedication. I wonder what he works as, having all that free time?
Haha I very much doubt it if it’s the LL groups you’re talking about 🤣

I agree also there’s two posters on here that have explained it really simply on why it can only be synthetic insulin. It doesn’t have to be over complicated for the jury. Once they understand it can’t be synthetic (which the expert will break down and explain for them), and they realise it can’t have been done by accident/mistake, where else does that leave them? That there’s two poisoners, and I don’t think there’s anyone that thinks there’s 2 separate poisoners on that unit. That really is it with this one

I agree, I think she’s going down too and would also bet my house on it. There’s just too much for it to be bad luck/coincidence. Can’t wait to see @MmmB777 black and white spreadsheet on it 🤣

When you put it like that 😱 chilling to the core it really is

I haven’t found anyone and I’ve searched everywhere, the journalists haven’t even responded to people asking on Twitter. I PMd Dan and he hasn’t replied yet either. Wonder is it a half day? @Tofino are you able to check if they’re sitting today, I don’t have a clue how to do that
It’s definitely sitting just not been able to find live reporting from anyone. Tom Mullen from BBC is there as he’s replied to someone asking but he’s never done live reporting.

I want to say this because it’s my opinion. And despite what the Daily Mirror, the BBC or other media outlets tell you, an opinion that offends you does not make it any less valid.

There’s a guy on the Facebook groups that has made a spreadsheet for the entire case. He goes by the name Tom Snowdon.

Let’s just say, I think he’s still of the mindset that a lot of mothers instil in their sons - ‘be nice to girls and they’ll date you’.

He definitely missed the ‘looks attract’ class. If he didn’t miss it, he wouldn’t be making such a public fool of himself.

And he doesn’t realise he’s falling victim to the very unspoken rule to which he is oblivious; I doubt he’d be making spreadsheets for Miss Trunchbull or Myra Hindley 🤣

I don’t want to cause an argument when the thread is getting on so well but can we leave the Facebook slating on Facebook? It’s not really relevant that Brenda in the fb group thinks ‘the room’ has caused all these collapses and deaths - we all know it’s bonkers and that some of their ideas are completely off the wall - it just seems a bit tedious to keep bringing it up, sharing screen shots of their wild theories and even now naming some of them here. I dare say if anyone was interested in what they were saying that they’d just join the groups themselves? The thread has been so informative this week it seems a shame to keep derailing and obsessing about fb users.

Sorry Raspberry, I just like running these ‘incidents’ past people on here to make sure I’m not losing my marbles…

The insanity on there just rubs me up the wrong way!

I’m off too. Every time I’m off during the week, there seems to be no coverage! Logic says it’s very bad luck, Facebookers would say it’s a cover up 🤣🤣🤣

Tbf ripping into random people from closed fb groups who are not in the public eye and nothing to do with the case definitely breaks tattle rules.
Awk Deeznutslol, please stop being so woke and offended by everything. Thick skin is required for most of todays generation.

How is it ‘woke and offended’ to point out that it’s literally against the rules and posts like those are exactly the sort of things which get these threads locked?

The person I’m referring to has put himself in a group which anybody can access (they don’t refuse membership). By virtue of doing so, he is opening himself up to public criticism, compliment and comment.

I really don’t see what the issue is.

Ok but what has he got to do with Lucy Letby and her murder trial? He’s not on the jury and he’s not a witness either, he’s just some irrelevant random member of the public that you’re ripping into.
Not sure how I can make this any clearer for you.

Do you think there’s no live coverage because reporters are tied up covering the World Cup? My ignorance is immense on that subject but just a thought.

It is possible but unlikely. I think this case hasn’t generated the public interest that cases of this nature usually do.

the DP World Golf Tour is on at the moment as well, so that could be contributing

I don’t think that is the reason for today, but I do think that was why the juror wasn’t in on Monday tbh as England was playing at 1 pm. Our next game is a later game on Friday so we should be okay!

Maybe they have to be very selective on what they can share today for a fair trial 👀
I think this is probably quite likely. There must be reporting restrictions today? There is definitely someone there because they’ve tweeted that there will be a report later.

Either that or the morning is tied up with legal arguments, rearranging the witnesses because of Monday etc.

With reference to two posts above

1. When the wonderful, lovely, nice Dr Shipman was arrested (I’m sure that’s how the Facebook creeps would describe him….oh wait, he’s not a young woman) he had colleagues offering up bail money for him. One GP actually remortgaged their house (or something crazy like that) to offer up the money. You can read about this in books on Shipman and also in the Shipman Inquiry.

LL, like all psychopaths, will have worn a ‘mask of sanity’ and will have manipulated her colleagues. Sadly, her physical mask helped her do it greatly (who suspects a plain Jane in her 20s of mass baby murder?)

2. Undoubtedly, the murders themselves were premeditated. She put a lot of thought into them, picked her victims wisely, and she varied her methods of murder.

the variance in methods of murder is actually quite unusual - most serial killers develop a method (with Shipman it was always intravenous morphine, although on a couple of occasions, he gave it intramuscularly - which means into the muscle - this meant his victims could walk around for a while after, speak to relatives etc, which would make it look like he couldn’t have killed them. Although he stopped using this ‘alternative’ method after one, who then died, told a relative he’d given her an injection).

Letby has done this because she just enjoys the drama of death and killing. There’s no Beverly Allitt here. She’s extremely calculating, and (I hate to say this) quite clever. I really do shudder - if it wasn’t for the insulin cases, I don’t think a conviction would be clear cut here.

and I’m in the 101% guilty camp.

HELP

Is there an app I can download to post on this forum? I’m finding my iPhone isn’t liking the safari version (freezes, ignores paragraphs etc)

many thanks x

Yes, wasn’t Shipman considered a great doctor ? He was popular with his patients too, they liked him.

I saw a documentary once where he apparently a junior doctor and a child died on his watch. The child was not expected to die , so he was at this for years.

Letby if a psychopath will be mimicking emotions, she won’t naturally have any of her own, but most psychopaths learn how to mimic behaviours and emotions. Hence why some of the texts seem forced.

If it wasn’t so sad and tragic it is could be interesting to see how this developed.

I personally don’t think she will be walking free.
