If the jury as it stands cannot reach a unanimous verdict after a certain length of time deliberating the judge will most likely ask for a majority verdict but again that’s not a given.
yes, that's what the above would be, the judge would first instruct a unanimous verdict, and failing that the majority of 10/12.And I’m sure I’ve heard / read that sometimes a judge might accept a majority verdict?
No the jury discuss the case and evidence etc together.I have no understanding of Jury duty so please forgive me but do they get chance to talk about the case between themselves and get each others POV on certain pieces of evidence for example? Or is it like you sit and listen the whole time take it all in and purely make your decision on your own?
Thank youNo the jury discuss the case and evidence etc together.
I think Lucy's was deactivated in-between her first and second arrest. It was definitely still there during the first arrest because I found it and had a nosey. Although given the conversations during these threads, I'm now wondering if that makes me a Facebook weirdoI’m scared we could get into trouble over this!
i feel a bit bad snooping but it’s just too tempting. But I suppose the profile was public , although some people not realise that they’re profile is public
i guess LL’s own Fb account had to be deactivated or she chose to delete it when the investigation first began?
Yea and found MT too but couldn’t see anything of Lucy on there
yes pretty sure that’s her!
I don’t think it’s that bad to have a stalk on facebook tbh. I think what makes it bad about Lucy is that it was repeated on multiple occasions, searching on xmas day and anniversaries of a death. I think at that point it becomes more of an obsession than a cheeky facebook stalk. Like for example I'm not now going to watch what that nurse does on xmas day.I think Lucy's was deactivated in-between her first and second arrest. It’s more the fact that she, a nurse, was in a position of trust, and should not have been snooping on her patients - it’s a violation of their privacy. It might be a bit weird to do it in real life but I don’t see anything morally wrong with it, if people have public fb profiles that’s their choice.I don’t think it’s that bad to have a stalk on facebook tbh. There’s one on ITV Hub and there will be some on YouTube.Where do I find the Beverly Allitt documentary please?
Thanks, I'll take a lookThere’s one on ITV Hub and there will be some on YouTube.
The one on itv hub is called ‘Trevor mcdonald and the killer nurse’. Don’t do what I did and search for Beverley Allitt as it doesn’t come up.Thanks, I'll take a look
What struck me is that LL seems quite a bit younger than most of her colleagues were. Wonder if that's linked.I’ve found both the nurse/colleague witnesses FB’s…(I’m pretty good at this! Not sure it’s something to be proud of…)
The latter of the two, has loads of public pictures of LL.
As PP’s have said; she looks so ‘normal’. So basic, so ‘plain Jane’.
It will be interesting to hear if we get any more background information about LL’s character…
I watched the documentary on Beverly Allitt earlier today, and they talked a lot about her character and past. Patiently waiting l to hear if we get the same insight with this case…
