Sorry, as an aside, it's worth talking to your school if you want to keep your children home. Mine has said from the start that I won't be fined if I keep mine off (and their teachers have said they'll happily give work) as I'm CEV and they understand the risks.

I meant to comment this earlier and forgot. Luckily ours are staying closed... but I contacted our school last term and said I would be keeping them off and they were absolutely fine about it and said they completely understood. No fines given. I agree it's worth contacting them
I take issue with Lucie's comments about helping her anxiety by blocking out negatively and not watching the news. She seems to have a fingers in her ears approach to Covid. Everyone should be paying attention to the news instead of using ignorance as the excuse for bending, stretching and breaking the rules.

While I agree that everyone’s feelings are valid at this time I really don’t feel she has any clue how easy she has it. She gets to stay at home with her babies!! I have a 1 year old and a school aged child and I have to go out to work, sorting childcare, being up and out of the house early. I wish she would see how easy she does have it sometimes!

if it's making her anxious why should she watch it?? I dont either for the same reason. Yet I still know what's going on, like she does I'm sure.

I'm the same, I refuse to watch it. But I'm staying at home so I guess I'm doing ok regardless of rules as I know most people are doing anyway

Why are people so anti families with a baby under one being able to form a support bubble? I keep seeing (not just on Lucie’s thread) people moaning about it - I don’t get it. Why are people so anti new mums getting support? So what if she’s not a single mum, so what if she’s got another child over one, who are you to say whether she needs support or not? it really gets on my tits.

I don't take issue with parents of under 1s having a support bubble but it needs to be used correctly. Lucie posted Harry's birthday when it was clear she had others over the house celebrating aswell as her husband.

I don’t have an issue at all with mums getting support, but hers appears to be more for socialising than support, when others who’s baby may be literally just over one and may actually have no one else aren’t allowed support or help! It’s the rules and so yea she’s allowed but I wish she’d stop pleading how hard she has it when she literally needs to step back and open her eyes.

She has seen way more than just her support bubble too. The baby shower, the lunches, the holiday with her mum. She's had hair appointments. Taking a newborn baby in a shopping centre!
Suddenly she goes from having a support bubble, to just socialising and being a risk to her family...
