Have there ever been any really successful male love islander influencers off the back of the show? I’m wracking my brains trying to think of any who got some really great opportunities - all I can think of is Curtis Pritchards infamous hollyoaks stint and obviously Tommy fury, but they both have famous families and an actual reason (dancing, boxing) for continued fame.
Naturally the women become more “famous” as they promote beauty and fast fashion, but it seems the ones who have gotten presenting jobs etc etc have all been female?
What’s Claudias angle going to be - push the gemma Owen thing to keep him relevant and hope the reality tv show for them/the owens comes to fruition?

It's difficult, perhaps more so now than in previous years.

The guys will do PAs all over the country, one or two will get clothing deals and then the work will dry up and quickly. It's tough to have something sustainable unless you already had something eg Josh was a youtube/content creator and managed to build off that.

The mistake they all make is the go to Dubai, Maldives etc. all in the first year, thinking it's going to last forever and before you know it the phone stops ringing. No better example than Jack Fincham who had as good a platform as any guy in the villa, only to be working on a building site a few years later.

I think Luca will hang on to Gemma for dear life(Dami with Indiyah to a lesser extent), the longer he does the more he blame the edit but Gemma would literally be able to end him with one insta post about how she has 'escaped'.

I always remember in the early days of big brother when it was EPIC they used to have the psychologists on giving expert solid opinions on what the contestants were REALLY thinking going by their Jody language at nominations / results etc and I always remember them saying the biggest game players in there worse sunglasses at important moments to mask their real feelings.
I find it telling Lucas mum and dad keep popping sunglasses on and off during their chat. Sunglasses on at difficult points.

I mean yeah, sure, the sun couldbe in their fuckin eyes lol. But ever since the big brother psychologist input I always second guess people in awkward situation a wearing sunglasses on reality tv

zara got kicked out fairly early on and Adam didn’t make it to the final IIRC, I think that’s what he was referencing. Not that he didn’t find a connection.

I didn’t interpret it that way, my immediate response was poor Zara, perhaps I mis-spoke the ‘to the final’ bit as you’re right, he didn’t make the final. I’m still feeling my gut reaction of what a plonker though.

i remember rachael from last year was very honest and straight out said she went back to her original job cause she needed the money and couldn’t live on influencer money. some of the other islanders don’t even do well in love island so it makes me wonder how sometimes i see them seeming to live the influencer lifestyle and i wonder how they can afford it
