She’s not needed Ryan in the appointment, he’s in the bakery waiting for her. He said she needed him because she didn’t want to cycle on her own. So he’s just escorted her there on their £000s brand new e-bikes.
They only save their money when it comes to Leo.

Now time for a bit of shopping for the birthday girl.

Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they will pick him up at lunchtime. Or maybe another family member is with him at home whilst they popped out for this Very Important Appointment.

Oh my god that’s awful. Absolutely no reason why Leo couldn’t have come and waited with Ryan and had some breakfast, as I know some hospitals do have a no child policy when you attend an appointment. If things were too difficult to manage they at least could have taken him to nursery later, picked him up early or just had him there for half a day?! Just to stick him in like it’s a normal day when they had other options is a disgrace. And yeah I’ll bet they’ll be like ‘well he doesn’t know it’s his birthday!’ Maybe not the full concept no but he can definitely be aware that it’s a special day and he’s being made a fuss of. Also so bloody what?! Even if he doesn’t understand, THEY SHOULD DO. Louise absolutely cannot bear to have a day that isn’t all about her. And she could have gone alone to the appointment without support, it’s rheumatology, not oncology, she’s a huge attention seeking baby.

Agree 100% with all this! The sad reality is though, Louise doesn’t want Leo there because as a narcissist, she more sees Leo’s birthday as HER trauma anniversary. It’s a day where she gets to wallow (even more than usual) in her self-pity and “what she’s been through” and what better way to do that than spending it at the hospital with specialist appointments where all attention is on HER and her (most likely Munchausen's related) problems!

She probably deliberately scheduled the appointment for today and said she was “nervous” cycling there (cos really, she’s 33?!) as a ploy to get Ryan along for his attention (just to solidify the day definitely wasn’t going to be about Leo) too!

They don’t appreciate how lucky they are. When I was struggling to conceive, their posts and attitude to Leo would have really wound me up. I hope anyone struggling stops following her.

You’re right, I believe he was in NICU for 3 days. Although she may have exaggerated that. I think initially she was well enough to go visit him in NICU as I’m sure she shared a video of Ryan holding Leo and you can see her in the reflection. It wasn’t until 10 days after he was born she had to be rushed back to hospital.

I’m fortunate my baby didn’t need NICU but I’m very aware how traumatising it is for parents. Even a short stay because all you want to do is be with them and hold them and it’s very limited. Even Ryan never seems to mention this. He completely enables her. Reminds me of my dad and my mother (he always put her needs before us kids) but I do think my dad was also emotionally abused and controlled by her whereas I don’t think Ryan is with Louise. He needs her money though.

I hope he enjoys all the presents you bought him and has a lovely day with you, together as a family " (when in reality I am aware they bought him a train set and set it up 6 days ago that he wasn't interested in and sent him to nursery all day when they don't even work!!)

“Swung by Sloane Square” makes it sound like it was en en route. Actually it would have been out of their way to get from C&W hospital to Sloane Square before going home, so they’ve clearly planned a whole day out and about without Leo.
