This is very true. You don't need to be "cool" to get a tattoo, and likewise, having a tattoo doesn't automatically make you cool. But getting a tattoo will always have an undertone of edginess; despite their popularity, tattoos haven't completely shed their connection to rebels and fringe culture. You can't deny that Lizzy got hers for some of that cool factor.
