With the sale I got Cinnabar lip gloss, Dance Card and Velvet Myth! The latter my husband chose. He really likes Velvet Bloom which I got at Selfridges, recommended by the lovely lady at the counter whose name I forget.

I need to destash my stuff. I have SO much crap, a lot old/outdated or just not good anymore. I love Lisa's stuff so much so it's just become my basic staples other than 2 tiny Natasha Denona eye palettes, and a Natasha Denona mini blush/highlighter mix.

I love the mascara. It stays on but comes off nicely, doesn't flake into my eyes like so many do.

Mine has arrived! I’ll let you know how I get on with it later today. It’s slightly darker in the tube then I expected but I haven’t swatched it or anything.
So I wore it today and it’s lovely. It’s more substantial than I thought it would be and less sheer but that has the affect of it lasting a bit longer. My lips feel nicely moisturised and the colour was more grown up than I’d thought. I’m definitely planning on getting a few more colours.

An update re the skin tint..
I've used it every day this week, and it still looked good at night. I had to use a concealer under my eyes yesterday (as I looked like the walking dead) so popped a little more than usual, but it still looked great

Her cleanser will be replacing my long standing Elemis, my skin feels lovely and soft

I've had a lazy day today and have been catching up on a few more of Lisa's videos.
---
I also like that Lisa has normal names for her shades.
‘What lipstick shade are you wearing?’
‘Oh, it’s called Sexy Lips’

‘I love your blush, what’s it called?’
‘Erm…Deep Throat.’

I can’t be dealing with those levels of cringe anymore.
I couldn't agree more, I wasn't comfortable with cringe worthy names in my younger days let alone now. I've avoided NARS because of it, the worst offender is that idiot Jeffree Star. I've seen people on SM think it's so edgy and witty No it's not it's childish and sometimes offensive

I agree that it’s tacky AF. Why not send product to Emerald members, they’ve already spent a lot of money on her stuff. She could then use the reviews on site when the product goes on sale. And show all of them, building on her brand of being classy and honest. I simply do not give a toss what a bunch of screechy influencers have to say about a product. I watch her videos then decide. And my manicure is fresh 💅🏻
I don't mind some of the smaller influencer accounts (I don't know who was on the train but if it was the likes of Lily Pebbles and The Anna Edit I'll be seriously disappointed). I quite like Lolasfaceandnails and Fionas50slife and thisgirllikestoshop for beauty. All older women (older than me anyway) but I think honest reviews and I would trust their recommendations over someone like Lily Pebbles, Sali Hughes et al

I am enabled by you all, I got the balm in Epanoui and the mascara. I am in love with my Clinique mascara but thought I'd try something new!

The whole point of it being named an MBE, CBE or any other BE and it not being called an MUK or CUK was to be inclusive, because those who were located anywhere in the Empire were eligible for it, ie it could be awarded to foreign dignitaries at a time when most gongs could only be awarded to British passport holders. Now they are stuck with the name, because how do you change the name of a lifelong honour without suggesting that those who received the 'old named' honour are no longer being honoured? Also, isn't jumping in and condemning another culture without really taking the trouble to educate yourself about it just the teensiest bit, well...colonial in nature?!
---
Also interesting about the concealer pencil response @whitershadeofpale. I wasn't interested before but now am intrigued as I have a part of a tear trough which is so deep and dark no concealer touches it. Might this be what I'm looking for?! Feel like I need to get to the counter and try it.

Chanel have also just released their own copycats, with all this spiel about "technical innovation" and HOLY FUCK they're charging £140 for one!!! As if that isn't bad enough they've released three reds which are exactly like the shades of Lisa's first three Velvets -- Ribbon, Morning and Jazz.
I await Sali Hughes glowing review, saying it’s a real ‘treat purchase’ and that she’s already bought 23 as gifts for her sick and/or sad girlfriends

I asked for products that she was suitable to my colouring, I only went for the tint but as I waited for her to finish with another customer and we did the tint and I asked about lipstick too When she put it on me I thought it’s a good colour for me and I may not of chosen it myself.
Rose Official is one of my most used lipsticks.

Dammit I really will have to lock my card away in September. I have an EL Futurist concealer and I impulse bought a touche eclat on the plane the other week, for old times sake! I 💯 don’t need any more concealers for at least 6 months but once Lisa’s video comes out I know I’ll be sold. She is the best ambassador and salesperson for her products!!!

I’m going to have to pass on concealer as I’m lucky enough not to really need spot concealing and I already have EL futurist concealer for under eye to use up. I’ll still watch the video though with absolute glee (love her videos so much) I saw on a recent video Lisa using her new concealing pencil to correct around the lip area. Such a good idea when done right. I remember doing the same when I worked for EL as a MUA in the late 90s, they made a chubby concealing pencil and I used it to touch up around customers lip lines and Cupid’s bow area. The range was all quite yellow toned which helped neutralise redness but had to be used sparingly and well blended on cooler toned skin. I also still have a normal sized light/medium skin tone pencil from Prescriptives which did similar things. It was part of their “magic” range if anyone remembers that? Such a good innovative brand, I don’t know why EL discontinued it all 🤷🏻‍♀️

Looking forward to seeing more shades of the refillable lipstick. 💄 Deffo won’t be buying as I have so many velvets to use up already and already have Lisa and Romy in the refillable. I just love her vision and creativity in sense of colour ❤

Lisa is such a good influencer(but with true integrity) that I became obsessed with obtaining a Celluma pro LED light panel that she featured in a recent video and the latest Allure video segment.. I justified the cost (I got it for less than RRP but still….😳) as I don’t pay or have ever paid for any tweakments, facials, mani/pedis etc in salons and I colour my own hair at home. So this was a big splurge but I’m hoping it will help with redness and some breakouts on my back which I suspect are hormonal. I did my first 30 minutes last night and it was really lovely and relaxing. Hoping it will give firmness, glow and maintain collagen now I’m in peri 🤞

edited to add that I’m still working my way through my original Velvet Ribbon that I bought in the original launch.(2018) Wore it to a carol service last week and it lasted the whole evening, even through a late night burger after the service! It still smells and feels absolutely normal. I don’t throw makeup unless it’s either run out or smells funky (just use common sense! And I’m the only one using my makeup!) and none of Lisa’s have ever gone off in my collection

That's a relief Lisa is discontinuing quite a lot of lippies, glosses and a couple of eye palletes none of which are your favourites. There's a sale for emeralds for a week then others. I panicked and legged it here to tell you 😘 she's starting a new chapter so I think she'll have quite alot of new things coming out 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Epanoui is fab isn't it I've got the plum shade which Mr rev says suits me best, he's been with me 27 years and is used to me being a Goth 😂😂

I finished meet cute the other day. It's really improved my lips too
It’s nice that she’s giving advance warning of discontinued lines. Thank you for thinking of me. 😘

As I’d already done them, here are the swatches of all my lippies in case anyone wants to see them.
One swipe of each on pale skin…

Epanoui, Rose Official, Kitten Mischief, Sunday Matinee, Dance Card, Go Lightly, Velvet Enchantment, Velvet Morning.

I've just ordered the skin tint - so excited to try! I didn't get on too well with her foundation, the shade match was the best I've ever had but found it clung to dry patches even if I did a lot of skin prep beforehand, and my skin isn't even that dry tbh. Skin tint sounds like it will be a better product for me so I'm v excited to try it!

I had one of her eyeshadow palettes but sold it as wasn't that impressed with it for the price. I also have 2 lipsticks which I like but don't think I would repurchase, though tbf I do prefer a liquid lipstick so might try one of her liquid ones.

I love how invested in her brand she clearly is, she seems very passionate about it rather than just slapping her name on something like many influencers these days.

Visited Lisa’s counter in Liberty, had a great experience with Grace and a good chat, i only went for the tint to get colour matched, ended up with other lush products too. The lipstick is really lush that Grace choose to match my colouring. She showed me some great tricks which I need great experience. ❤

Ugh im really broke too, caved and ordered Ione but might have to return for one of the browns, and another baume and a new cleanser. I’m having a hard time at the moment and little gifts to myself go a long way! It’s cheaper than a pair of cowboy boots from Air & Grace 💡

Oo which shade did you go for?

Which lipstick shade did she recommend? When I went there they said their favourite colour at the counter was rain, but I think that’s just the gloss
I asked for products that she was suitable to my colouring, I only went for the tint but as I waited for her to finish with another customer and we did the tint and I asked about lipstick too When she put it on me I thought it’s a good colour for me and I may not of chosen it myself.
