I thought the giant pencil gimmick was cute.
I thought it was kind of cute too because she looked so awkward doing it. Like, she’s always so elegant and this was definitely… not!

At least she did a pop up this time instead of a fancy train ride with self inflated influencers. That almost put me off her entirely. I actually messaged their customer service to express my disappointment.

I really like her makeup though, and the skin tint and the Velveteen liquid lipstick has lasted me the better part of a year. I rarely wear makeup except when I’m at work, but when I do, I love to have a uniform that I can just put on, I know it will look good, stay put and enhance the bits that need enhancing.

Since no one asked 😉 my routine is - cleanse with her gel cleanser, embryolisse as a primer, spf, skin tint, kitten flick eyeliner & kitten lash mascara, sculpt & shade lip pencil and the velveteen liquid lipstick. I look well put together without being overdone. 5-6 days a week during our six month season and sometimes up to 12 hour work days, with travel and hauling and such. My make up looks immaculate when I get home.

I’m planning a refill of the lipstick, skin tint, possibly the enhance and define lip pencil (has anyone used both lip pencils? Opinion on difference?), the epanoui lip balm, and the pin point concealer. I have rosacea so am looking forward to using that to cover broken capillaries and redness.

Any other suggestions in her line that you would say is a holy grail for you?

I know I’m just in an echo chamber now but it really is disappointing.

@Duee I agree, the benefit of being able to purchase early seems to be solely for the company bank accounts with no real perk for the customer.

I second the eyeliner. Genuinely brilliant. You won’t be disappointed
The eyeliner is fantastic, having the use of my left arm/hand and being cack handed it's been great to apply and I've been really chuffed with the results
---
I have now ordered the eyeliner and the skin tint (T4). My family gave me supermarket gift cards for my birthday because they don't know what else to give me. The idea being that I buy something that I fancy for that amount and they in turn cover my groceries for the same amount.

So I decided that the thing I fancy most is trying the eyeliner and the skin tint, I'll report back once I had a chance to try them.
I've just replied with my thoughts on the eyeliner

The skin tint in T6 was the perfect match for me, it evens my skin out and has been a joy to apply and wear. I've worn it every day since it was delivered

I also got one of her new lip pencils in ON, I've lined and filled my lips without looking a mess.

I've not bought one bad thing from Lisa and the customer care are really helpful, very polite and nothing is too much trouble

I was reading comments on reddit over the last couple of days and thought some of them were pretty harsh. I was still hopeful, but I'm looking through the Rouge portal now and, honestly, I'm really underwhelmed and uninspired.

4 out of 8 shades (Romy/Ashes/Lisa/Medici) are some variation of Muse, which itself isn't the universally flattering shade Lisa seems to think it is.

Then we have Ribbon ... in yet another formula ... for double the price of the other Ribbons.

Boho Cherry is a special occasion colour, which begs the question when will you even need a refill, 3 years from now? and why buy a £50 lipstick you only bring out at Christmas? It does look stunning on the deepest-skin model though, but it's not going to suit me. I have Myth and Jazz which I rarely (never) wear.

Audrey is nice, but I already recreate that look with MAC Boldly Bare + Baume Meet Cute.

Simone is also nice but I can recreate it with MAC Stripdown and any clear lip balm.

The case has no appeal for me.

Sorry, this is a miss. 🙁

I did get the cleanser autumn set, & looking forward to using it. Hopefully it works for me this time.

Does anyone know if Lisa and her team are aware of this rave thread? I’m on the M&S food thread and apparently their marketing dept are very much aware of the discussion and feedback

I hope she comes out with her blushes again but in different packaging. I don’t mind them in a pot, really had my eye on Pink Soap!
I have pink soap. There was an issue with the tube splitting and I sent photos and promptly got a full refund which I wasn’t expecting. I love the colour for my pale, ruddy skin. I squeeze a small amount from the split end of the tube onto the back of my hand and warm it up a bit on there before applying to my cheeks. ( a T6 foundation shade 10 BTW)

I admit I have a LE problem. Just can’t resist her stuff! Her marketing and videos are just so good at selling her products!!

I would def buy a concealer and a blush or two or five. I love the skin tint and regular foundation so much. I wore the regular foundation out to our anniversary dinner, with some Natasha Denona blush+highlight, and the lip color in Rose Official. It didn't budge and I didn't even bother with primer or anything. Our server told me she loved my makeup! Mr Bee really likes it too. I may end up wearing the tint more often just because since it wears so beautifully as I tend to just do mascara + tinted balm most of the time since I am lazy. I paired it with my Bare Minerals liquid concealer for my undereyes and it looked super nice together.

I‘m away for a few days and went into Space NK to get colour matched for the Skin Tint. I was so disappointed when they said they only had a “limited range” of LE products in their store. Limited? There were about 5 items in front of their till which you could have displayed on a small side plate! I have more LE products in my make up *bag!
I was so disappointed but not as disappointed as the poor soul who will have to colour match me from a make up free selfie via email - poor sod! 😆

*disclaimer - my make up “bag” consisted of several drawers full! 😳

From the Reddit post ‘What’s the most overhyped makeup product in your opinion?’
I think their first mistake was dropping $2k on makeup in one go.
With every brand there will be hits and misses but, as others have said, you try the brand before doing a huge order.

I think her eyeshadows are pigmented. I love her lipsticks but I’ve never tried her brushes so I can’t comment on those.

Of the items I’ve bought, the ones I wouldn’t repurchase are the Elevated Glow - I can’t see it on my face at all, perhaps I chose the wrong shade and also the Kitten Lash mascara. I bought the burnt umber shade. It looks brown on the wand but it doesn’t look brown on my lashes so I was disappointed with it.

It would be so helpful (and kind) if you can post your swatch of the two!
Here you go, taken in daylight (in my car). Weather is overcast. I use Skin Tint 6, but I'm very pale as you can see.

I did 3 swipes of each on my forearm. Society is a far softer shade and pinkier than Blush Lightly IMO.

As I say, I don't have Pompadour however that looks far redder than either of these two from my viewing of them online.

Hope this helps. If you want other lighting, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

she makes a fortune for putting on makeup, it’s hardly improving society.
Granted it’s not the same as being a doctor or whatnot but people get great joy from her content, she’s help create some iconic and artistic makeup looks for fashion, she employs people in both her work as an MUA and business owner. I think people doing artistic pursuits can improve society in various ways.

Well here is the Lisa rouge experience (top) compared with just the 1c pencil all over the lips I posted a few months ago. I’d forgotten about the blurring effect. Again, zero editing and taken in natural daylight just by my bedroom window.
Thank you. Yes it looks like it’s blurred a little.

I had a small win on the premium bonds yesterday so I may treat myself… 👄 😁 💋

I wonder how many influencers were on the train in total?

An influencer I watched a review from flew in from the USA for the junket, so maybe there were a few international influencers there too. It'd be interesting to know if flights/accommodation were part of the "experience".

Anyone using the cleanser and who hasn’t cut the tube in half when no more squeezes out, do it! I’ve just decanted a week’s worth into a little container 🙂

Come on Lisa, release more colours in the eye pencil! I’m waiting for a really blackish navy, I’d also consider a blackish burgundy too (I have brown eyes)

I also see she has her new buffing brush on her website. No official launch yet, she should do a video showcasing her brushes as they do look beautifully crafted. I need another brush like I need a rash (I still have my OG prescriptives foundation brush!) but I saw Lisa use the buffing brush with the skin tint on a recent video and I was intrigued.

I’m on holiday and at the villa there are some magazines left by previous guests. I just opened a Red magazine from July 2025 and saw this…,

Has anyone else seen previews of the new blushes? Looks like it could be a doe foot applicator and there are new shades.
